if your gonna use miracle gro, you Should add 1 cup per cubic Ft. of Dolomite Lime (its cheap) and PH will become less of a worry.

I used to use MG, never had a prob wth it. Then I made my own organic composted soil rich in natural nutes teaming with maximum effect. I always dump in some dried seaweed, fresh from the beach, some dolomite, crushed nut shells/husks and spagnum moss. And wherever I use it I always, always get great results, all without the need for over-the-counter nutes. And my herbage benefits in taste and aroma. Green with green.

U know mb it's just my tap water but I have two ph meters and in organic choice I always got a 6.8

I love MG soil, myself, and quit using Fox Farms, ever since I tested them side-by-side, and saw that the MG did as well, or even slightly better. Having said that, I should add that I'll only use MG soil with added perlite, because some of it retains too much water, for my liking. Once that's taken care of, it performs as well as any readily-available soil, IMO. One other thing....I've had problems with fingus gnats before, with MG soil, and don't buy it from places that let it sit outside, wet. I get mine from a place that keeps it indoors, and haven't had a gnat problem since. 
Call names all you like. When you get a lockout; don't complain to me that MG released all sorts of shit early to your girls.

If you add dolomite lime, which I do, do you check ph after watering from the tap or how do you handle that?
I'm lucky not to have any ph issues, which is in part I think, due to decent tap ph, soil mitigates ph anyway and an eye for anything that looks off. If you add the DL do you have to keep adding it or what? How do you keep ur ph consistent?

Oh for the record...I don't grow from start to finish in MG
Once veg is complete I make my own as follows:
Two parts peat moss, moistened
1/2 part perlite
One part composted cow manure
One part worm castings
One cup dolomite lime
One cup Epsom Salts
I use Boost, Bloom, Cal/Mag, B1, Awsome Blossoms and Sugar Daddy, all at manufacturer's directed rates except Sugar Daddy,
Which I use at an aggressive rate.
Once veg is complete I make my own as follows:
Two parts peat moss, moistened
1/2 part perlite
One part composted cow manure
One part worm castings
One cup dolomite lime
One cup Epsom Salts
I use Boost, Bloom, Cal/Mag, B1, Awsome Blossoms and Sugar Daddy, all at manufacturer's directed rates except Sugar Daddy,
Which I use at an aggressive rate.

Nice mix. I am going to have to give this a try.
I use MG for the start, but then have always relied on just good old manure till I do final transplant.
As I am an outdoor grower, once I transplant I use dry 46-0, 11-52, AMS; liquid 10-34, chelated zinc. Then I sit back and watch till they tell me differntly.
What all are your credentials, always like listening to knowledge.
I have two people that have greenhouse operations, only legal plants, one with college botany degrees, great asset to have.
Would not mind having another to bounce questions of off.

Nice list, I am going to have to pick your brain in the future if that is okay.
I just love Orchids, but cannot seem to raise them, I get them they bloom and then NOTHING.
I am a farmer, master gardener wanna be, you sound like the life I would like. But I am enjoying farming immensly too.

our water supply has a decent ph (6.
. we have 2 different grows going right now, outdoor (synthetic, no way around chlorine), and indoor/backyard (organic).**
for the outdoor stuff, dolomite lime is added to the soil mix, and about once every month i sprinkle another handful of Dolo in them. we still have to PH our nutes thought, because Miracle Gro 24-8-16 is SOO acidic. (1/2 TBSP per gallon, near 4 ph.) we use Potassium Silicate for PH up,

indoor/backyard organics.
Dolomite Lime is added to the soil mix, along with the full range of amendments (guano's, castings, Happy Frog 7-4-5, compost) and watered with compost tea, PH is never monitored, again i sprinkle a handful of dolomite every month or so. easy as pie.
PS. i would lower the amount of Epsom salts to about half that, unless it works for you.
