Dude your fine, you lucked out with the side space, just spread them out like you did. They will point back up at the light ina day, hopefully they wont get much taller.
You could accomplish 6 plants in that space if you trained them after topping, but 3 would probably be easier to deal with.

They are lookn' better today but I really put them through hell. I took a pair of pliers, crimpt the stems so I could bend them and then had to crisscross them to try to fill the screen. They were crimped so bad that I had to pick the ends up from the tray to weave them. Two were chewed so bad that I twisted them off and threw them away.

that's incredible that they grew 5x themselves in 19 days.

I'll be growing some c99 in soil soon....I'll have roughly 4.5' of grow height....I'm wondering how high I should let them grow before I flip them to 12-12....

It depends a lot on the C99 phenotype involved I think. I'm in a cab with a little over 4' max height. I switched when my plant was 12" and it grew to its final height of 27", so the space I'm in is perfect.



In this guy's grow, he had one plant go from 9" to 38" after the switch! Next time I do this, I'm going to try topping or fimming, so the canopy is more even and I don't have that single phallus sticking up through the center. If you account for the plant to triple during the stretch, you should be fine.

The next time I am going to try to make them bushier and hopefully not stretch as much by topping and femming and only plant 3 instead of 6.

They were looking good before I topped for 4 mains and changed to 12/12 but they were already growing together.

Then at 21 days I changed to 12/12. The plants were only 8".



After 40 total growing days (19 days at 12/12) they stretched to over 33" and within in this time I had to trim out a lot of lower leaves and branches.


I think that one reason they stretched so bad was because I had to keep cutting off the the side branches because the plants were too close. Crowded plants=tall spindly plants IMHO. I know this is true with vegetables and trees.

I hope so TitoM. It has over a month of Flowering left. Maybe most of them will turn into at least medium sized buds and not just a few large and a bunch of popcorn. At least the lights won't get to smoke them now though.

The buds are filling out nicely and are close to the same hieght. I have pinched almost all of the big fan leaves to get as much light to the buds as possible. The secondary leaves are growing very thin and long.... kinda neat looking and the bud look healthy. I am still sticking to lucas 1 micro/2 bloom but have added Koolbloom into tne mix.


8 parts Micro
16 parts Bloom
5 parts Koolbloom


I was tempted to change out the res today for the first time but the buds look ok and I'm feeling kinda lazy.

A few of the leaves on one of my stalks looked sick today. This may have been due to never changing my res since I started so I drained/refilled my res and set the PPM to around 1300 @.7. My GH ratio is now at 8 parts micro, 16 parts bloom and 10 parts Coolbloom.

I pushed them in early veg to the maximum PPMs for my hydro setup and got 0 leaf tip browning. Yep, I would say she's a heavy feeder.... but how much depends on the grow setup.

Today I noticed some of the stalks in the center had lighter colored thinner looking leaves... then later a leaf on the top of one stalk had brown, discolored spots. I refilled the res using a heaver mix of coolbloom, with about the same PPM amount so we will find out in a few days if the lighter stalks green up or if the healthy ones choke and die.

some c99 phenos have very suspicious looking calyxs .. i got a similar scare with something like that minus the hairs.. it wasn't a hermie
