My buddies Mom got busted in Bose Idaho with 37pounds of weed she was on greyhound. She was coming from ca. To Minn. Someone on the bus said they smelled pot so they diverted the bus to Idaho . The bus was never supposed to go to Idaho. Now she is facing 22yrs that is a life sentence for her .what do u think

I'm sure at sentencing they will take her prior criminal history in to account. I know a guy who got caught growing 160 plants in a very illegal state. He was original facing 40 yrs fed time but pled down to 2 yrs because he had nothing on his record.

You ask what do I think? If your broke, desperate, and dumb enough to bring 37 lbs. cross county on a greyhound bus, 3 hots and a cot is probably a step up in the world. You would pretty much get caught 9 times out of 10 doing something like this.

Well Yeh 'prepping' has become popular and we will need drug dealers after the apocalypse, but Yeh totally right it is a ridiculous sentence considering the severity of other chemically produced drugs now weed just dosent seem so bad but guess they have gotta make an example of someone, for their sake I hope they get away with the minimum tho

Sure, one day is too much in my opinion, but that doesn't change the fact that marijuana is highly illegal in several states between CA and MN including MN. I was just saying it's as if this wanna be ganga smuggler was begging to get caught. I mean, 37 lbs on a greyhound bus - you have got to be kidding.. Sorry for your friends mom, but she really exercised poor judgement.

Actually, it's a GREAT TIME- because before you got busted, you didn't know there was anything wrong with the judicial system. Of course like most people it didn't stop you from having an opinion on it- which is how it got that fucked up in the first place.

But on a serious note it is sad that someone can be sentenced to spend over 2 decades in jail for a plant...no matter what the amount is.

And come on, on a greyhound....there has to be better ways too move that!!

Was this in a Idaho state court? Idaho may have illegally prosecuted her since she was taken there against her will. Technically, she was kidnapped. It's worth talking to a lawyer about.

I can't help but wonder how many LEOs and agents and politicians would get caught doing something highly illegal, if they were suddenly involuntarily diverted from their course, every time anyone claimed they "smelled something fishy."
