Yes I agree with you, I don't agree with a ton of laws, I mean a ton and I break them all the time I just think we need some type of law to keep most people doing their best to stay out of jail and and keeps things some what decent. All though true criminals don't care and do whatever anyway.

I rarely bring it up any more. I didn't fit in mostly because when I saw officers breaking the law and/or abusing the people they were supposed to protect, I spoke up.

I learned a lot during my short time there. A lot about how the system works, a lot about interacting with others, a lot about corruption, a lot about holding power over others, etc.

My biggest benefit was learning how cops think, having my eyes opened to how the system works, and learning enough about the penal code to keep me out of serious trouble.

How many of the current US prison population are currently doing time for non violent offenses or low level drug offenses ?

Other countries dont imprison people for the low level offenses that we do , i did my 1st 2 yrs for growing weed , it cost the state approx $60 k to house me those 2 yrs , they seized & sold over $200 k in asset , net profit to the state was $140 k , pretty damm good profit margin i'd say .

There were people in Mexico that were alive, so Mexico would have to be considered safe as well. I assume they're alive overseas as well. Safer than Mexico doesn't mean safe, it just means safer than Mexico.

There were people in Mexico that were alive, so Mexico would have to be considered safe as well. I assume they're alive overseas as well. You do realize that blacks only make up 12% of the population right? I would like to live in a place where I don't have to fear the people who I pay to protect me. According to you though, I'm probably asking for too much.
