Few states require businesses to pay any portion of your unemployment. They pay for unemployment insurance while you're employed, when they let you go, no payment. They only need a "valid reason" to deny you benefits.this does not mean you do not pay your employees unemployment when you terminate for no good reason. you still need a valid reason.
And the state of Florida offers less protection than Federal law. Speaking of which, try getting any help from either the state of the Fed.you should not make up stories..because guess what? the state asks for proof..and you look as stupid as hell.
for some odd reason employers (florida) seem think that they have carte blanche.
unfortunately, their carte blanche is only limited to federal labor law.
because fed trumps state for the benefit of the employee.
and state trumps fed for the benefit of the employee.
