250 watt keep it simple ghetto grow - leftover seeds. COBs.

They both look and sound great pal, but I think I'll go for the Blue Kush, I prefer quality over quantity. Going to pop the OG Kush next time round though seen as I've already got the seed, and I'm saving up for a holiday!
You getting any more pics ups? I've just updated my thread with pics if you wanna have a look.

Looking good Grape! Is that the 250 HPS in now? Do you normally keep the light that high or is it just for photo purposes?
This is the first time firing up the 250 watter. I was just experimenting. the light is way lower now. But temps in the tent went from 22*C to 27 and even hit 28 at some point. No bueno. I have a good mind to switch to a 150 watt for a while. One more thing: the reflector is really cool! I think it was designed for bigger light and bigger rooms... but either way it's making good use of the light... there's no doubt in my mind that I can run 4 plants in there next time

Yep you've got good light coverage in there, looks a good set up, and you could easily get four in there. My temps are 27/28 at the minute and is pretty much what I'm used to. Although yesterday it was around 25 cos it was a cold day. I always keep the light around 5 inches away, i've burnt a couple of leaves this week, but no major damage.

My only point of reference is a 150 watt hps/mh that I ran last winter. Temps were great and light was really close. I got around 3 oz from one plant. So I believe cooler temps and good ventilation is what makes nice thick nugs :D And btw I did not regret buying the more expensive "agro" lamp... it kinda looks better colour-wise plus it's frekkin bright

Thats a quality yield for a 150! And I agree mate, last grow I had trouble with temps, sometimes it was in the 30's but there wasn't much I could do about it. The ambient temperature now is a lot lower and the highest i've seen in the tent was 29, and this plant looks much better than the last one!
Not seen the Agro lights, will have to look them up, but you definitely get what you pay for. Buy cheap, buy twice!

Clawing on a few leaves (left side of the plant) on the Purple Bud. Handybook says it's nitrogen toxicity facilitated by pH imbalance. pH may have been a little low lately (still getting used to the new pH down solution). I'm keeping my eye on this

Yeah that happened to me last time round, the pH had dropped to about 5. I hate pH down, but i've now managed to find the right balance and the right amount of drops for what I do. And if I ever go a little bit too below my desired pH I just adjust it with a bit of silicon, no need for pH up.

Looking good mate, loving that blue kush, definitely wanna grow it one day.
I would do one of each and see how you get on! Whats been your favourite strain upto now?

I haven't grown much of anything for very long. But I have to say the Blue Kush was a pretty solid strain... definitely up there... very fragrant... very green and very frosty... incidentally the most money I've spent on 3 seeds. So money well spent, I say.

EDIT: I should mention that the very green very frosty Blue Kush was the OG Kush-leaning pheno. The other one was sour, dark green-purple, and full of red hairs

Both phenos sound great! I was going to save a bit of money and grow the OG Kush seed I've got but I'm not that excited about it so sod it I'm going to order some! Next grow is Blue Kush!
