Best RSO solvents

I am a big fan of hexanes, but you need to be super careful with it. It metabolizes to a dione that reacts irreversibly with lysine residues in your nervous system.Irreversible neuropathies have been reported. I'm real careful around those vapors.

A lesser but still real issue is that commercial hexanes tend to contain a heavy oily fraction. I deal with this using a fractional still. (An odd term ... it is an entire still but cuts cleaner fractions than a typical moonshine unit.)

Dude,

Fractional distillation is some serious chem.!
Out of curiosity since I don't know hexanes boiling point, what's the optimum temp you use for that separation?
Do you use vacuum @ all to lower that temp?

EDIT: Curious due to the volatility of terpenes.

I loves me a good distillation. It has been my first and one of my best lab skills.

I'm at a bit of altitude so my solvent boils right about 60 degrees C. No decarb if I'm careful.

I use a vacuum after I've recovered as much solvent as I can. (Most losses are in the extracted veg matter.) I find if I did it well and with patience, I lose less than 10% after a thorough pump purge.

I want to start taking rso daily to see if it repairs my back issues. My site is starting to go, so I would like to test to see if cbd can repair eyesite. Everyone in my fam that has these husky eyes all have thick glasses due to degeneration.
Also my gpa lived to be almost 100 with a leaky heart valve and blockage. He swore by the 2 fingers of scotch at 5 o'clock everyday made him live so long. I once had some scotch that was aged and tasted like butter..i could sip on that once a day. Anyone know this scotch or can refer me to something smooth?

i probably shouldve just kept my mouth shut
all these methods and solvents make a hash oil.. depending constituents of starting material, how you evap etc it may be a shatter or whatever consistency..
we now call each method normally by solvent and technique. iso, etoh, dry sift etc
he didnt invent anything or bring anything to attention

any hash oil should not be branded with that morons name.

you want real rso.. get you some naptha or acetone, soak your bud in it for a few hours (boil it)
and your done
no need to purge your solvent as the cannabinoids neutralize all toxins (his words)

theres a reason he fled the country

some of us have been doing this a veeeeery long time and his name brings bad feelings

we try to make a clean extract, of cannabinoids and the range of goodies within the trichome. thats the medicine after all

as to dia's issues..
