DIY with Quantum Boards

It's because your screws that hold the board to the heatsinks are metal. Go buy some fiber or poly washers from ace hardware and put it under every screw. See if that fixes it. Will cost you $0.08 per washer. Dirt cheap.

Its not on though and it had been off for a while when i touched it. Ive touched it when its on plenty of times so im pretty sure its not a problem with the QB. Im on 220v EU standard, im starting to wonder if my circuits are actually grounded.

How do you turn them on or off?

You could use a multimeter and test the charge between the two and validate there is conductance and how much, and if it peters out after awhile then its residual from the driver and not 220VAC from the wall, or also that possibly there is no charge, and its you being statically charged..

Is the air dry? Could it have been a shock from static electricity? Either that or you have some electrical device that's not properly grounded the light can't shock you if its not turned on. I'd check the wiring of all devices in that tent and or room.

As much as we're grumbly about waiting to buy the new goodies, I'm sure they aren't sitting in an office somewhere going "Fuck 'em, I hate selling my lights, making money, let's make those bastards wait" and there's likely some stupid delay that's driving them even more crazy than any customers could imagine.

We are out of stock on a bunch of things...... I'll run a discount code for you guys when our heatsinks and others arrive..... Hopefully next week. Sorry for the delay. Just didn't figure anyone would appreciate an sale that had little in stock.
Thanks for the heads up...ordered a couple double heatsinks last night for boards I have setting for a couple months. Blues out of production?

Also, @Jqwerty1 if you have the small, black m3 screws with the pan(?) head that's pretty wide, they often touch one of the test points on the boards... duno it that would contribute to your specific issue, but maybe have a look.

That's considerate, and reasonable. Haha.
Should we keep an eye on this thread for notification then (anybody?)?

Thanks @Stephenj37826, HLG.

Hey guys, or Stephen, got a question. I purchased seven HLG-320 XL kits about five or six months ago. I’ve ran all of them since at around 160 watts each, at the wall. I love’em. I’d changed from HPS bulbs. No comparison to me, LED hands down. But, I noticed on one of the boards, two diodes have gone completely out. Another board has lost one diode completely with two others very dim. Boards on different heatsinks. My question, is that normal? My other five kits are doing fine. They’re all fine really. Except I don’t want to lose any more diodes. I’m not necessarily complaining. Just wondering if others have noticed the same thing. Is it something I should be overly concerned about? Will I lose more diodes? Thanks.

Only two boards out of 21 are affected. Thanks again.

With the XL, is that considered one heatsink with three boards each. If so, only two boards out of 21 are affected. Thanks again.
Ive had my HLG-300 v1 for over a year and its been on almost every day and ALL its diodes are still shining. Thats my experience thus far with their qbs. If your leds are burnt out then HLG should help you out. Youre not complaining man. Im sure theyll see your post and tell you to email them or something.
