Will 80 proof alcohol dissolve distillate?

A friend was wanting to infuse some alcohol with distillate...would you have to use something like Everclear or could you get by with some better tasting 80 proof stuff?

To make infused booze and be able to dose it properly with distillate without it tasting like chlorophyll

Just seems like an awfully expensive way to make a tincture....but hey it's your money.

It's more for getting boozed up and having some milligrams in there, rather than a traditional tincture lol
