Dude... You flushed it on the ..18...21...and 23?.. that's 3 times you flushed a plant in 1 week... that`s insane.
My last word is that the plant is overwatered, let it go atleast 5 days from the last flush and then see results.
Well first off.. congrats on your plant looking A LOT better.. Just needs time man.Currently: 11:40pm, Oct 26
Last water: October 25th 6pm
Time passed since last watering: 30 hours
Currently: 8:40am, Oct 27
Last water: 6:00pm, Oct 25
Time passed since last watering: 38.5 hours
Compared to the last image, the leaves have slightly dropped down but nothing big. Could've just been due to the time of day or something.
I am working on making an animated rotating GIF of these shots to show the difference.
Hope they are still doing better tonight.
why would you flush out the nutes every 5-8 days? So then you mix nutes and add them when you water?... or just not give the plant nutes?...I just odnt understand why you would want the nutes out until the final flush at the end... my plants love to use the nutes that came with the soil... most of the times i dont even add shit to it ..and you can check out my grow journal too... IF the soil gets so dry that it separates from the sides i like to kinda push it down around the sides so the water doesnt just run out of the pot/bucket... But i do like to give the sides water just to ensure those roots arund the sides of the bucket are moist... but thats just my little thing i guess... lolWell first off.. congrats on your plant looking A LOT better.. And this is what I think you should do, other people may beg to differ, but in my opinion it's the safest method and doesn't risk anything.
My definition of Watering is that the plant is just given enough to sustain withtin the pot.. and not drain out, like a few cups of water for a 2-3 gallon pot.
But what that does at times, is the water seeps down the top and keeps the bottom part moist... and if you use the 3 inch rule, you'd think your plant is dry again and ready for watering.. but it isn't, and constand watering that way can lead to root rot.
The watering schedule I follow, and advise to anyone else too.. is to flush the plant, now when i refer to flush, I mean... Water the plant with just enough to let it drain through.... every 5 - 8 Days.
This way you're:
The first week I watered my plant at a regular basis, but after that I just decided to flush my plant weekly or so.
- Sure that the plant is atleast 90% dry.
- Allows the plant to completely utilize the water.
- Flush out any excess nutes, as well as better tasting bud later on.
- And you don't have to worry about the last time you watered your plant, or how wet the soil is... etc. You just have a fixed schedule that you follow, and if you doubt this method, you can check my grow journal from start to today.
And as for pouring water down the sides, I honestly don't find it such a big deal, because it can be avoided, but you could just add a little more soil to the side of the pot later on and pack it down.
I hope I answered your question man.
Goodluck... and your plants are starting to look alot better.
I use MG Potting Mix, and that is my reason for flushing out excess nutes.why would you flush out the nutes every 5-8 days? I hear ya bro... Ive been defending MG soil forever...lol... I use it as well.. I hear ya about it being strong.. and honestly your term of flushing is more like what we all would call watering... Most people consider flushing literly giving the plant 3 times its medium... So for my 5 gallon buckets im supposed to flush it with 15 gallons of water... Honestly ive never done that..lol.. Maybe this next harvest i will...lolI use MG Potting Mix, and that is my reason for flushing out excess nutes.
You can add nutes if you want to, but you also need to realize that when you flush... you don't water so much that a shit load drains out with all your nutes, you just water enough for the medium to drain a bit.
The soil still has alot of nutes in it, and I would rather flush, than water at a regular basis allowing nutes to spread out even more through the soil.
But then again, everyone's got their own methods right
