8 weeks from when they were cut from the mother with the last week of that under the led before flip. The males showed within like 5 days of flip, they were ready to explode when I flipped.

I forgot they were regulars somewhere along the way. LOL
I went into it with every intention of flipping the parents after the clones started rooting to make sure and just forgot to do it.

I have like 3 different things that effect short term memory on top of the massive amounts of mmj I consume. Plus im too lazy to write anything down.
Things fall through the cracks sometimes... This particular one really pissed me off as I was looking forward to both strains equally, so im going to try to get better about writing some general notes down. Maybe I should get myself a small whiteboard for down there. Im just glad I hadnt chopped the other 3 of the strain that was female though. It worked out and I still had 6 plants, but it was supposed to be 2 strains not one.

I will be honest though. The plants under my diy build light are looking better than those under the Mars...

Certainly ViparSpectras from the past weren't white diode based? You're talking about the typical Blurple, Veg/Bloom switched, mainly all red and blue slug diode type fixtures, Right?

They kill veg for short squat bitches thats about it. These new leds need more blue

I saw the spectrum for the SP and TS series and they are heavy on the blues relative to other wavelengths as they include both blue diodes and 5000k whites.

The LED's in question were a mixture of red, white, and blue. Certainly a blurple of sorts. Anyways, my point was that LED lights with blue heavy spectrums tend to underperform in flower, regardless of which generation of technology it is.

Honestly, I'd take a mix of 5000K and 3000K any day to veg with over straight 5000K alone.

Thanks for taking the time to make this thread & once again for the input youve given me on my diy\ hack of the vipar light I'll be ordering two axg 240 h - ab drivers & one of those dimmers that can dim 2 drivers to finish it soon

i edited and added more to my post actually lol. good to know about a discount lemme know how to get that if ya don't mind. my budget is super tight. im trying to do 3 3x4 spaces and poss veg area over the next year. starting with coverting one at a time and 2 lights each. maybe next year i do the mom/clone room to replace my t5ho i hate buying bulbs for. anyway re-read that last part if you didnt see it on the last post i was editing while you liked it i think

Keep your t5 fixture, just replace the bulbs one more time but with LED. Phillips makes a really nice retro fit t5 bulb made with LEDs. 4' length.

Time for an update!..they just woke up so pics aren't the greatest. I would say with 1 week left of flower before were through a full 8 weeks, the Mars can definitely do the job for anyone who needs a light. I only dislike the fact that they used so many 5000K diodes on their boards. There's simply too much Blue Light during the flowering stage. I can see the difference between the 2 sides.
I would still say. overall it's a solid light. It gets a bit hot. But for the price it's not bad.
That's my honest opinion.
