I got the soul from nursery the soil isn’t same as you got in your countries your soil is black with something white our soil is just soil .

So i put the soil in pot and added weed seed but in 2,4 days some plants grew with pink root not in the place where i put the seed ,

So i took another pot and put soil in and didn’t added any seed i watered and it again grew some plants

Anyone have any idea what to do and why its happening?

Just on the small chance you're not trolling. Just buy good reputable soil online

What he said. I use fox farms ocean forest / happy frog. The white stuff is called perlite, it’s a volcanic stone that’s very porous. It’s used to increase drainage in the soil

LOL. I still pull unknown plants out of my FFOF. But don't use dirt out of the yard unless you sterilize it. Pain in the butt. Buy quality sterilized product.
Haven’t had this problem, but so far I’ve only gone through 2 bags and I was anal about storing them.
Where’d you get the ffof/how long you have it? Just really curious I don’t wanna be using infected dirt lol

It's actually really clean. But I recycle and on about 2 dozen bags now. I prefer Coast of Maine Stonington Blend. Expensive and online only here.

If you're actually in Michigan. We found this soil called great lakes.. in a white bag. It's an organic JAWS soil. I made it til the last couple weeks and only had to add some cal/mag. I'll keep using for sure. Got it at htg

Just pull the plants out. They came from seeds that were already in the soil.

They might be in a country where it's not available ordering online and if it is the shipping costs my be prohibitive.

The FFOF facility is out in the open. Seeds can blow in by the wind, carried in by animals, dropped by bird poop, or already present in the materials they source for the soil. They store everything outside. Some people might think the facility is some sterile warehouse or something. But it's a sprawling outdoor complex that uses bulldozers to move things around. Here's their west coast facility in California. They have another on the east coast and I think one in Canada and something in the UK.

Someone doesn’t like FF?

I just switched to roots organic.

I didn't mean to imply anyones dislike for FF. I was just pointing out how random seeds can get into the soil. Some people probably think the soil is produced in a closed in facility with nice neat bins of product. It's made from materials stored in piles outside exposed to the weather, animals, and seeds blowing in the wind. I have no problem with FF especially since bags are $12.90 for Ocean Forest and $14 for Happy Frog at the shop down the street. In fact I need to pick up a couple bags of each.

i got a couple bags of happy frog not too long ago and it had the craziest mold spores in it..... i dumped it in the tote ....went to use it a week later and it had a orangesh , slimy mold on top. xtsho , thanks for showing the facility. That kinda explains it. i am not against mold in my soil but my partner wasnt having it in the room. we threw it outside.
Thats my only isssue with FF soil ever.....ive bought a few hundred bags of OF an happy frog in my time.

pretty sure i got spider mites from my happy frog soil this round.. I thought they were supposed to already have predatory mites in it. maybe its old or something but I'm very glad to be going coco-only from now on. Outdoors I'll still be doing organic though.

Lets see a pic of this "soil"?

No , i have never heard them advertise predatory critters. Spider mites are like pollen , yes, they can come in on your bag of soil , in your bag or on your clothes. I have never heard of a person who just dont get them at all. (without defense)

You're right, I can't find any info on them adding dormant predatory mites in there.. I do read alot about how anything could be in there though. So glad to be doing the change to hydro

Never really had too much issues with bagged , bug wise. I would get a random sprout here and there but nothing detrimental.
Many bagged have small weep holes I noticed when palletized . They are also pretty much outside in nurseries, rained on , not covered , stacked on exterior racks , etc.

I try to pull bags from middle ( kind of like screening lumber ) , bags are better to me cuz they are insulated and definitely “ warm “ which I believe is from the living part of it. I thick some rocks and other minor debris is FFOF Achilles.

Some people screen their bags , I just use them and not overthink it too much.

Fungus gnats are usually the common insect to infect bagged soil . You could probably add neem meal / cake to your blend to help.

Now you have me wondering if all of them produce outside? I did assume it was made in a closed facility.

They all store materials outside. The space required makes it prohibitive to store everything indoors. I took a peek at Aurora Inovations which makes Roots Organic. They have covered facilities where they likely mix the product but the materials are stored outside. The FoxFarms image I posted doesn't look like a mixing facility but a storage facility. There are several large warehouses in the area with likely one being where they truck the materials to for mixing. I just want to point out that I see nothing wrong with storing the materials outside. It's pretty much the only feasible way to store them.

Aurora Innovations/Roots Organic facility.
