Lockdowns work.

Say's you. You said it's a "free country".

If I understood your meaning correctly, that would imply the freedom to use defensive force and repel people who are encroaching on that which you own.

If I misunderstood your meaning, please flesh out what you meant, by "free country".

Thanks, you doddering old fool.
If you own the store by your own logic, you can kick out someone or refuse entry, if they don't choose to wear a mask. You don't get to choose your skin color though and refusing entry on that basis is illegal. An interesting logical trap you've gotten yourself into Rob, a real paradox.

Not really. You are missing the point and as usual, incorrect.

The logic that supports your having a right to control your own property, doesn't give another person a right to make your choices for you . Property rights aren't about the characteristics of OTHER people, they are about the desires and rights of the property owner. My logic is consistent, yours, is inconsistent.

Whether something is legal or illegal, is a poor example for an argument concerning rights. Many legal edicts destroy rights. Even some "illegal edicts" , like lockdowns, destroy rights. Legal doesn't necessarily mean a right is being protected, it could just as easily mean a right is being violated.

So, not a trap, not a paradox, not a good argument on your part. Skin color has nothing to do with a person's property right. Black people and white people have identical rights to control their OWN property and neither has any right to control OTHERS property.

I hope that clears up your silly misconceptions. You're welcome.

I wonder if bobroy got a polio vaccine. Let the immune response fight it. Maybe cancer? Let the immune system fight it. What a dolt.
Are you for forced vaccinations and where did you get the right to inject another person without that person's consent ?

Not much! I was skillful, "Guys there's a pandemic on the go, give me some space, 6 feet is still the law the last I heard". It's not that they were bad people, they were just not mindful and were reverting back to conditioned behaviors, everybody forgets if it ain't in your face. The infection rates are pretty low here in Nova Scotia now and I want to keep it that way. If you have this thing beaten back then masks are important to keep it that way while having as normal a life and economy as possible, we need to make them mandatory inside and in crowds and avoid having crowds as much as we can.

America is gonna get hammered economically because Trump was pushing reopening with in a week of shutting down and was twisting red state arms. Make no mistake, many red state governors (congressmen and senators too) let hundreds or thousands of their citizens die needlessly because they were afraid of a mean tweet from Trump. What is the price of 120 thousand dead Americans? Apparently a mean tweet, who would have thought your lives would be sold so cheaply, slaves were valued more in the old south.
Maybe 20% people around here wear them

I’m wearing a mask to protect others. The science shows it works. If we all wore masks in public this disease would be behind us already.

Anyone not following the guidelines regarding mask wearing is a fucking idiot and a piece of shit. When I see the selfish fuckers I just want to break my policy on social distancing and punch them right in their bare fucking mouth.

After only 3 years of Trump winning bigly.

How the mighty have fallen:
US citizens not allowed to travel to EU
Masks along with NPIs and sensible policy will drive infection rates down to not only manageable levels, but treatable levels, where the limited supply of effective medications and resources can be deployed to save lives. In some places it can be eliminated. The data from Canada and Europe show this is possible and widespread mask wearing and other hygiene measures will allow us to get much of our economies reopened and take advantage of the summer for outdoor activities and business.

However, we have seen how this thing can spread in the summer heat, winter will be much worse and outside spread might be more easy, in the air and on cold surfaces. There is a reason meat packing plants are hit hard, cold ambient temperatures probably have a lot to do with it, among other factors. Grocery stores are kept pretty cool too and I figure this thing survives the longest in cool temps out of direct sunlight.

It will be interesting to see what the epidemiological results will be from the mask wearing peaceful BLM outdoor protests in daylight, vs the Trump maskless indoor rallies in infection hot spots. A study on this could determine the course of future political action on the streets. If the infographic above is correct and everyone wore a mask at protests outdoors in the bright sunshine, then the impact of protests on infection rates should be small (considering their size), though they are reporting a big increase among young people in general.
