So I have made an account on here because a situation has been happening for a while now (5 times in the last 3 years) and I want to know if you guys have any advice or know what I'm talking about. So pretty much I smoke (every time besides one instance has been with many other people) I start losing vision then blackout. I regained consciousness but this most recent time it was only for maybe 4 seconds apparently (told to me from my friends) then I started twitching and pissed myself and then puked for an hour straight. This has only happened when I've smoked. I also have never gone to the doctor about it because I don't want them to know I smoke. I have twitched each time but this most recent time was the worst. Can weed cause seizures? Is it low blood pressure? I just don't know

I've fainted off smoking before. I've been smoking approx 22 years, and I smoke daily. It has happened maybe 4 or 5 times to me total. All the times were heavy sessions with new bud I hadn't tried before. The smoking methods varied from bong to blunt to even a bowl.

For the times I fainted, it was a woozy feeling followed by a 2-6 second black out. One time I was standing up and fainted, and came to before my knees even buckled (that was the two second one). Another time I had been drinking home made shine and we were smoking blunts, I stood up and almost immediately went over. Think I was out for at least 4 seconds because a buddy had jumped up and come over but I came back to as he was talking to me. None of it has happened with any regularity, so I never bothered following up on it with my doctor.

edited to add I voted kinda but probably should have voted yes lol...

You shouldn't feel concerned to be honest with a doctor. You have HIPAA privacy laws that protect you in those environments even while in illegal zones.
Doesnt matter, once you tell them, that entire health care provider network knows and you are a black listed, even in legal areas. Where I'm at, there are really only two healthcare providers.

Those are symptoms of a seizure. Multiple seizures mean epilepsy. Do you have deja vu when you don’t smoke? Or any other time?

You don’t just need a doctor you need a neurologist and ekg etc.

You need a new doctor. Mine praised me as my switch from SSRIs to cannabis help me lose 45 pounds.

Not many forward thinking docs around here.

You get deemed a "substance abuser" Marijuana is still officially scheduled with heroin. Good luck getting pain meds as a known marijuana user (even after surgery).
I have never had a problem but I always refuse meds like that. I have had quite a few doctors offer them. Nothing crazy strong though.

What I can tell you is my doctor for over 15 years ditched my healthcare provider, over the fact that they would not allow him to open a small side practice where he would prescribe MMJ on the weekends.

Doctors are supposed to be for patients. If it’s working and helping the doctor should support it. If not it’s time for a new doctor.

When you have several doctors theres only so much you can do. Try finding a surgeon thats not in a health care network. Good luck. I dont see my marijuana use as something my doctor will ever need to know about so it doesnt really affect me.

Maybe in '95.

If you are accurate, it would be a nightmare for any private hospital financially; as there is precident for civil suits awarding heavily on this sort of breach.

Edit: I do know it took several years of cases, but by 2016 such cases were so limited already as being a part of required administration employment literature

Why would you need someone who isn’t in a healthcare network? Do you read posts before responding?

Im talking say you go to "HCA Healthcare" and tell your PCP that you smoke marijuana and that PCP labels you as a substance abuser/addict. That diagnosis is now on your chart that every doctor who works for any of their 214 hospitals (and god knows how many satellite facilities) will see every time they treat you.
