Man you anti flushers ..
Like I get it it you want a bigger yield but at what price and don't tell me it don't taste harsh cause it fucken does! can't put the wool over my eyes. If the plant isn't flushed correctly you're going to notice.

All this bullshit about it being a myth ... for years people been flushing ain't no one say dick. But now we live in yield wars and it has become such a competitive thing among growers where now basic practices are made fun of because you could be sacrificing the tiniest amount of harvest

Give me a break! Flushing has been on everyone of my nutrient guides. So how is it even nutrient companies recommend flushing? Wouldn't it be more favoring for them to remove it? I mean if the taste and quality wasn't so different I wouldn't make such a big fuss. But this yield mentality makes growing really boring and diluted.
I've been growing in coco with blumats using salt based nutrients for years. No runoff and I never flush. Everyone and I mean everyone always says my weed tastes great. Some even ask if I'm growing organic. When they find out I'm not they seem shocked.

Flushing does nothing and does not remove the so called chemicals from the plant. Anyone with a basic understanding of plant science would know that. The reason flushing has been on every one of your nutrient guides is because the cannabis specific nutrient companies have you overfeeding your plants so they have you flushing with a bottle of their sugar water product to rinse the excess nutrients out of the soil before the plants start burning up from overfeeding. It's all a scam and if your basing things off some silly nutrient chart from a cannabis specific nutrient company then their marketing department is doing it's job. The goal is to sell product and they seem to be doing a good job at convincing cannabis growers to follow their bad recommendations.

Speak for yourself. Flushing is widely practiced throughout the globe. "My weed taste the same" bullshit, I don't buy it! You're pouring nutrients down the drain and that's a fact

How am I pouring nutrients down the drain when I have no runoff? The reason so many people flush is because they overfeed their plants from day 1. Flushing is not widely practiced except for naive cannabis growers that have no understanding of plant science or nutrient mobility.

Flush all you want. I don't give a damn. But it doesn't remove anything from the plant. If it does then where do those so called nutrients in the buds go? Do they spray out of the pistils? Just think about it. Where do they go? Can you answer that question? If you think they travel back out of the plant and back into the soil then you would be wrong.

So no runoff and no flushing nutes out of coco is pouring nutes down the drain? Please explain as I would love to understand what you mean by that confusing statement? Yes people do it all over the world, people also live on fast food all over the world, that doesn't make it a good idea. People all over the world also smoke tobacco, does that mean it is good? People do all sorts of stupid things, it does not make them right.

I'll just finish by stating that if you want to flush then flush away. People are free to grow their plants however they want. I personally don't flush because it doesn't do anything but deplete the soil of nutrients. It does nothing to remove anything from the plant as many think. That is backed up by scientific studies that actually examined tissue samples.

I'm not here to make enemies. I am perfectly able to disagree without animosity. These flushing threads are redundant and there are those that are convinced it makes their weed better. I'll try to bring facts to the table but if they don't want to eat then I'll just move on. In fact if "Flushing" is in the title of the thread I'll just not click on it. If those that want to perpetuate the misinformation and ignore science wish to perpetuate the falsehoods then have at it. I'm done trying to bring actual science and facts to the table if people refuse to eat. I have better things to do.

But peace to all including those that disagree with me. Your plants. Grow them anyway you please. :peace: :peace::weed:

Flushing is mostly needed for those that have been pushing their plant to the max. that's when I find it necessary, it helps get rid of some nutrients but not all. It helps breakdown most of the chlorophyll and help bring out the colour , the weed will burn easily and not burn out, and will have the resulting white ash and not leave black shit in your bowl . It's more too it than just BROSCIENCE, fuckwits. Go learn some more about it or better yet keep smoking your shitty chemical harsh tasting weed.

If you are growing organically then I just stop feeding 1 month before harvest. If your using chemicals flushing for 1 month is better than 2 weeks. You want to turn leaves gold & basically drop for white ash. If you want black ash or like choking or want to choke others while inducing headaches it is a good idea to avoid flushing altogether & add a lot of nitrate to mix . Each weed takes different time. So indicas generally 9 to 10 weeks from flip but some sativa like Haze can take 13 weeks. The girls want to produce buds & will feed on leaves for 3 weeks to 1 month. My opinion on any growing of plants is we could live a trillion years & never figure out natural processes & we are very poor at it so all should grow naturally! Well then if plant is in the ground how do you flush. You don't is the answer. Also I warn people to avoid potting mixes with inorganic wetting agents they are not healthy.
Nuts! Please name another crop that is flushed. Please.

Drying rack for 3 days?
It depends on the relative humidity of your room. You don't want the stems to snap, but almost. Then you jar and burp until you reach your target. But there are tons of people over in Harvest and Curing that have this down to a science.

Just because there are people who believe in something doesn't make it real. I'll stick with science. Flushing does nothing but starve the plant. If that's what you want to do they are your plants feel free.

Black ash is an indication of incomplete combustion. Almost certainly retained moisture. It is not evidence of retained nutrients. Properly drying and curing gets white ash. Further whatever left black ash likely yielded its THC well before it blackened. Not saying it’s desirable but it is easily explained.

And I'll yet again disagree and say it comes down to the flush and cure, while others say other factors like oxygen, Combustion, humidity , carbon amongst other things, who's right ? Show proof or who cares , it's all he say she say.

Flushing doesn't starve the plant or reduce yield when it has storage's it uses up before harvest, lol...omg we all are just stubborn in our own ways aren't we.

This is like a competition oh I'm right your wrong, I know everything blah blah blah.

Chlorophyll breaks down into metabolites, which along with the presence of other sugars already present in the plant tissue are seen as what can give that harsh smoke generally associated with improperly cured cannabis. Curing properly gives aerobic bacteria time to digest the chlorophyll metabolites and other sugars.

Flushing debate : Number 500,012
:wall:

IF you need to “ flush “ , it is the growers fault .
Overfeeding / extra supplemental bullshit done in excess. All you are doing is leaching the host medium , plant doesn’t magically “ wash “ itself of excess.

If you enjoy spending cash on flushing agents and hype then Flush your wallet too .

The only time you have to flush is when DEA is kickin in door.
