Nothing better after coming home from a long day work then to spend an hour in the garden looking for tiny little worms. Good times
My basement stays around 60-63 degrees and my dehumidifier keeps it at 60, usually takes 11-14 days for a good dry. Luckily the better half doesn't mind the smell.

I had a PM issue on a couple plants last year and did the H202 bath. After the buds dried, one plant smelled like fresh baked bread and the other like dirt. Lol. They lost their terpy smells but came around after a few months in jars. No effect on potency or taste. I can’t say it was 100% from the bud wash but I don’t know of too many strains that have a baked bread terpene profile...is Breadolene a terpene? Lol

Did you hang the entire plant or as branches? That’s about the length of dry I’m looking for, then transition to cure.
Well that must be a relief! I pulled a few leaves today that definitely had it, but it hasn't become a major issue yet.
I don't know, but is onion salt? The flowers on one of my Waziri smell like that, with a little burning tire thing going on too. And the other Waziri smells like a Margarita. They don't even look the same either.
with autos I'll do whole plant because they are smaller, I don't know that I have the height to hang the entire plants from an outdoor grow. Usually I've just hung by the branch. When they start smelling like weed again after the chlorophyll smell goes away, I'll start the cure.
couple of shots from this morning. Front plant seems to be a week or so ahead, again I'm hoping to get into October here. Wet on poly, wet outside, but my plants haven't had a drop of moisture in the mornings yet.
Front plant started first and seems to be further along, the back plant is more fluffy bud still.
Hoping they both start putting on weight soon.

About how long do you think that takes, MM? For the chlorophyll smell to go away? A few days? Week? And what is your next steps, may I ask? Usually, after a week-ten days, i switch to the attic from the basement, which is cool and has outside vents, I put a fan up, then they go into paper bags. From paper bags they go into the jars for the daily burping stage.... I want to sharpen up my cure process this year. Ive had friends just hang it, then jar it, and it comes out pretty amazing, not sure how that worked.

Hey guys, this is my first outdoor grow and it seems like it’s going well. The buds are starting to swell up pretty nicely but I’m starting to notice a lot dying and yellowing leaves all throughout the plants.
Is this to be expected or do you think it’s a deficiency? I was wondering if I should apply a top dressing later today? The last top dressing I did was 4 weeks ago with Dr. Earth flower girl and then I did a a morbloom/fish emulsion watering about 2 weeks ago. Would it be a good idea to do another top dress today if I’m planning to harvest in 4 weeks? Let me know what you guys think.

In my opinion. if youre in MA, this is a normal thing. I noticed and have posted that I just started seeing the same thing as well. As we enter into about our last 4 weeks or so before harvest, the plant is coming towards the end of its life cycle. Remove the ones that look like they may die and sometimes rot, but dont go too crazy. Just my humble opinion.

my biggest ones are in the ground and theyre buds are a little bigger than thummb nail size. my indicas are looking amazing with buds right now though. im just confused as well with does the whole cola have to have red hairs? i have one plant that the top is all red hairs bit like a inch down the hairs are still white, so that means its not ready?

The proper way Im told is to check the trichomes on the calyx. These are the ones you want to be cloudy/amber. Do not check the leaves or buds, only the calyx. That is your key to proper time to harvest. And yes, you want almost all your white hairs to be red. I know its that time of year when we all get geared up and wanna chop, be patient brother, patience is key. You want to go as long as possible.... without going too far.

With honesty, I dont use either of those products so I could not tell you, however, if you are going to juice them, remember you want to flush for two to three weeks to purify as much of the plant as you can. Four weeks out will probably be close to my last juice. Also, fish emulsion is, I believe a high nitrogen, at this point of flowering, you really want a higher potassium feed. Im using a 10-52-10, which is pretty high, but thats just me. I would wait for some more advice from like moonman and dunphy, they will probably have some good advice as well. <I do see that the Dr Earth is a higher potassium, Id def recomend that at this stage>

The reason you see me and others post this picture along with others is to show you how much actual size which equals weight and surface area for more trichomes. Any time you leave those white hairs... every 2 of them is giving up another bit of weight, multiply that over tens of thousands and its very significant. Also, your sacrificing everything from potency, to smell and taste when those calyces are not developed fully.
The key to harvesting is taking the buds that have had almost all the calyx swell up... That way you know your maximizing weight/active compounds/terpenes, flavonoids(smell/taste), etc. .... Now theres a point when they will deteriorate and very rarely some strains will throw out new hairs but you dont want to sacrifice 99% of your plant waiting for a couple (literally... like a couple/2... on a whole cola) of white hairs/calyces to swell up, and let the rest of the cola get ruined... Then its finding a balance over the whole plant if you're chopping all at once if you're not harvesting only whats ripe.
This size difference really adds up... Ive had these go from the size of a sesame seed then swell up to be bigger than an m&m... and thats just for 2 hairs... Imagine the size, density and weight that adds up to when you figure you have tens of thousands of trichome covered m&m's everywhere...
and again the smells tastes and psychoactive compounds will not have been developed, at least no where near their potential.
Also, take a look at the comparison between these...
Check out the overall size difference between these... you can tell once cut and dry, one would be nice normal dense nuggets, and one would fall apart in your hands and be airy grass smelling shit that doesnt get you high...
Learn to find that balance and you'll know when to harvest, the only way I describe it is just an overall swollen, "plump" look to her.
