That's what i was trying to find but the store didn't have any i went to. Guess i'll have to order it can you spray that directly on the buds
That's the concentrate that you have to mix yourself. You can also get it in a spray bottle that is ready to use.

Another small area of bud rot found on Balkhi 3, about 3” from the end of a medium-sized cola. The tip-off was a wrinkled leaf. Found the little bastard causing it while cutting out the rotted flowers. Removed the end of the cola as I wanted to get good margins. Salvaged some parts that were unaffected, put them in a small bottle and shook them in a straight 3% peroxide solution for a minute to kill any unseen botrytis, will sample when they dry.

‘‘Tis the season, stay vigilant my friends!

Placed an order for BT spray through Amazon, then canceled when I saw the Ace Hardware near me had it listed in stock. Then this morning I check and it's out of stock so I re-placed my Amazon order setting me back another day. Strange that BT seems hard to find in brick and mortar stores. I wonder if a lot of people got caterpillars over the weekend.

Theres nothing stopping these plants from flower at this point. You would need a light on all night. Besides its only a few minutes and the positive is way better then wasting 6 months for a pile of moldy garbage.

hey everyone! first time grow and was wondering when do you guys usually harvest. im in western ma. my indica started flowering like a week and a half to two weeks ago and sativas were a couple days to a week after that. some of my hairs on one of my little plants are turning orange, but just on the very top hairs. will the whole cola turn orange before i harvest? or is it just the top?
hey Marty, just curious, do you find the indica less resistant to rot in western ma? As opposed to other strains, I've had some issues with kush and some exotic stuff

Haha perhaps! I’m wary of most fungicides especially in flowering; I know that some are essentially permanent or
difficult to wash off, and I’d be worried about their affect in flavor not to mention toxicity when combusted and inhaled.

BT really is best used as a prophylactic I.E. preventative treatment and utilized on a routine scheduled basis every week once flowering begins.

I, admittedly, was ignorant of this wisdom, and ended up playing catch-up on my ‘SFV OG’; I got hit hard by caterpillars because she started flowering second week of July and thus there was more bud mass development that subsequently better allowed the botrytis to take hold.

I then began a weekly scheduled BT regimen, and I am just now finding some small areas of bud-rot on my other, later-flowering plants, which are relatively minor compared to the SFV.

Question:

1). Do you guys wash your buds, and if so what do you use?

2). Anyone used the BT that’s supposed to be effective as a fungicide - Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis?

3). Can you guys recommend a favorite brand of pruners? What works well for you?

For BT I was told the Montery BT is best, and for pruners cutters, Fiskers are the ones I go to.

when will you guys pull plants? its been getting cold
I personally have another 2 weeks or so on mine; longer for my sativa-leaning SFV and my Skunk #1’s. All my plants are in the ground so I’m not very concerned about light frosts. So middle of October at the latest.

I prefer mine to have lots of Amber trichomes!

If they were in pots I could probably bring them inside if I was truly worried, but it won’t get that cold anyway until end of October probably, by which time they’d be finished. That my 2 cents.

I did wash last year. Used a peroxide and water bath per the Jorge Cervantes video instructions, then a quick rinse, blew the water off the buds with a leaf blower then trained a box fan directly on them for twenty or so minutes when I hung them up to dry.

Have used only the Monterey B.t., which is the Kurstaki strain. Have sprayed the plants with a weak peroxide and water solution four or five times.

For pruners, I use Fiskars pruners for rough trim and Mondiale scissors for the final trim after drying before the buds go in the Mason jars.

I was under the impression that BT was mostly for worms and caterpillars, not for much else? I see I need to be educated further. It does other stuff?
