Im still not sold on my hlg panels. First grow under them is about midway done. The cobs make good buds, regardless of efficiency
Efficiency is still pretty decent from the ol' cobs. My electric bill is still much cheaper then when I used hid. Buds are still pretty solid from the cobs imo. I run a 400 watt that's approx. a 600 watt equivalent. Plus my ac runs much less. Lol
Timber's products are very solid for their pricepoint. I may pick up a 4vs if im not happy with this run
I just finished my first run with my timber and I got more than i was expecting and I was having all kinds of trouble going into flower. Also it was my first time running led and I wasn't sure about hanging height so I ended up foxtailing her a bit from light intensity but overall I'm very pleased with the results.

I would like to get a qb for veg tho. I'm thinking about a spyderfarmer sf1000. Anybody tried one out?
Spider Farmer and Mars are both made at the same factory. It's the same company. I think the Spider Farmer looks a little cleaner, but I wouldn't get either. I would spend a few more bucks and get HLG for boards. The Meiju lights get a lot of good reviews here if you wanna do the Alibaba thing. Just not for me. For strip lights I'd be looking at the ChilLed or the Gavita. HLG is supposed to be coming out with a strip light too.

Input wattage isn't quite as important as light intensity out. I've seen what the sf can do. Haven't seen what the mars hydro can do yet that's why I'm leaning towards sf.
Spend $18 more and get the goods. $178.00 after code "RIU10".

I wasn't aware of that... thanks for the info. I learn something new everyday! Lol...i like chilled but way too expensive for my bank account. Hlg is good but they're still a lil too expensive for me. I just wanted to try the new tech but I'm still happy with my cobs.

I know the ChilLed lights aren't cheap at all. I don't have any yet, but I'm probably gonna order one next time I buy a light. The thing is I don't need anymore lights now. I have a few HLG lights in boxes still. I went a little crazy when the V1's were on sale. I have 1 kit that's still not even built yet.

I have a code for 5% off the ChilLed, but they're outta most peoples price range so I don't give it out much. I have a $25 off code for Timber too, but they aren't cheap either.

Yea my timber wasn't exactly cheap but when I was doing the research it was the best I could find for what I was looking for at around the right price. I'm still trying to wrap my head around growing with cobs, but I believe the qbs have a better spread so I'd like to experiment with them. Seems like they'd run a lil cooler than the cobs also.

Ah see but I have 3k worth of chinese lighting and it works great, but who's to say my samsung diodes and meanwell driver are better then yours. You might be right. But until I fork out twice the money for relatively the same light and put the ppol tester under it can we really ever settle this? I think as stated, every light has its place. I wouldnt recomend something that's been shipped in a cardboard box over seas to be used in a commercial application without extreme testing. But if it met up to the testing why would it be bad? Idk I'm high dont listen to me I'm just here to grow some weedView attachment 4685858
Awesome grow are dude and I like my slant eye lights also the Mars are good Lights it's all what you make of it!!! Looking good man keep it up!!!
