Blurple? Noobs. LMAO. We had 100W incandescent in ceramic fixtures. And now we are all hooked. The best choice is the one that does the job.
LOL, can't argue that. That light was my first one, won't call it a waste of money as it did it's job but I knew nothing. Now that I know so much more I can say for certain that the biggest thing I learned was I still have a lot to learn, lol. Still loving the journey :bigjoint:

Apologies. ..9 @ 3 gallons. 33- 38" under 700W with 6" turbine w/filter. How else may I add? LOL.
I can’t grow small plants, that last time was too much, less plants seems to be when I do best myself. Never did tally it up, still a garden bag sitting here from last time i mentioned it lol. 3.5-4lbs? I’m washing the tubs tonight, fuck it. Ok.. carry on lol.

You can can grow any size, shape or orientated plant you want. It is just a matter of knowing your plants. And they talk more than me.

I’m expecting bat shit crazy again but I have better genetics more light co2 and a net lol..
Applies to 4x4 max here. Controlled steady growth is the goal. It will determine your issues(problems) number of plants, yield and quality. I'm old. Keep them open and breathing. Moveable and accessible in the tent. My 9 or actually 10. I suggest 9 as this only needed watering for the last 2 months of flower. And it helped more than me to this day and some beyond.

Yes, it's a 1.2mtrs x 1.2mtrs tent so 4ft x 4ft so near enough the same size give or take a tiny bit.

It's a shit picture really because it shows very little of the area.

Anyways, it's a 600watt HPS Slyvania Growlux bulb with Maxibright Digital Pro ballast so can push it to 660watts if needed.
ok I’m liking your setup. Where can Ibuy a large circular reflector like you have around the bulb, and what should I buy to hang / power the bulb? No bulb screw in the ceiling

Gonna flip soon. Just defoiled, gotta throw a net in.

4 plants in a 4x4. Flipped yesterday:

3 plants in a 9x5:

Flipping this weekend probably.

All from seed. All topped at second node to keep them short. 2 gallon pots except the 4 are in one gallon. Coco DTW for the win.

I like to not spend time in trim jail. Not concerned about yield. I grow for the pleasure of it. It’s therapy. I get plenty enough. I like to take my time and sculpt my grow.

To each there own.

You asked for # of plants but what you really need to figure out is HOW MANY COLAS you want.

I like lots of colas. Not branches...................colas. I want the fattest tops and no side branching.

After many years of experimenting using different pot sizes and amount of fat tops I wanted I came up with 64 colas in a 4 x 4 tent under whatever watts you need to cover the full area. Now this all depends on genetics and what not but I like to grow plants that grow slightly tall and have fat nugs all the way down. So I like some penetration.

With 16 two gallon pots with four colas each gives me the room to get that penetration and have 64 fat ass colas with really nice buds up top and reaching down to about 18 inches below the top.

This is my BBC under a 600 watt hps. The light was lowered to 300 watts to take the picture:

I have got over 20 ounces when I do it perfectly. Sometimes some colas don't get as fat as others and I wind up with 18. Still not bad and I'm quite happy with it :blsmoke:

If you're after the Reflector, it's called a Parabolic Reflector and it's 1m diameter.

Depending on your location, I think you will find one easy enough as they are widely available.

As for the stuff to power it, a digital ballast would be your best bet and also a bulb to suit the wattage range of the ballast.

You mention "bulb into the ceiling". That does not happen with HPS lighting, you need a ballast to run it. It's not your ordinary everyday light bulb.

Maybe I suggest to research a lot more before pressing the button.

For #7 pots I’d go with three per 4x4. Four max. Every time I ran 4 I found it was just a pain in the ass looking back at the end of the grow.

I’m gonna be getting a 4x8 tent & one sf4000 to start with. I only plan on using half of the tent for now, but if the light could cover more then I’m open to using more of the tent.

how many plants, in 7 gallon pots, should I use in order to yield the most bud under the sf4000? This is in a 4x4 unless you suggest otherwise.

also how big of any area can one AC Infinity T4 regulate effectively?
One! Lol
