Most efficient # of plants in a 4x4

Is there a reason you're waiting until after stretch to turn on the UV?
I am using it to increase trichome production on buds so I figured on waiting until I am getting bud sites before firing it up. Since it's the first time using it I figured that would be a good starting point. Next run I may start it sooner or later depending on what it does this run. It's a work in progress :)

bigger fans turned down are quieter, that's why I go with big ones. If you have negative pressure, just utilize more of the vents/duct holes. You can use 8" ducting in most 4x4.
Fair enough. I have multiple fans running so it makes noise without my 4", not really a big issue. I was going to swap out my Iobonics 4" for an Infinity T series to make it a bit quieter but honestly the price difference is ridiculous. The T4 with temp/humidity controller is $159, the T6 is $411 and the T8 is $488. Frankly since the 4" is doing just fine I cannot justify spending over twice the price to get to the 6". Now if between the 6" and 8" the cost increase would be worth it but the difference between the T4 and T6 is just not worth it. Well to me anyway.

Noise-wise, I have a T6 in my 4x4. I can attest that it's VERY quiet up to setting 5 - then it's just plain quiet compared to my old 4"
FWIW, mine runs at 6 with lights on and 3 with lights off.
Two 4" and one 6" passive intakes don't quite keep up at setting 6, But it doesn't suck in too bad...

$411 for a T6??? They cost more for sure, but this link is for $159.

Yeah, welcome to shopping in Canada. The link is cool though, if I order from US I can save some cash, looks like $100 less. Man do we get ripped off here. It comes in at CAD $273.02 with shipping from Amazon.com if I don't get hit with duties/taxes when it crosses border. They can nail you for anything worth more than $20 in value. From the Canadian Amazon.ca site, not so good. On the other hand the T4 is $159 on the .ca site.

Why do you feel you need a bigger one? I am just curious as I have a 4" in a 4x4 and I get negative pressure easily at half power.
my temp hit 80 and it took a while for the temp to drop back to 78.... once over temp the fan is set to run max until it drops back. it ran for 40 minutes until temp started to drop.
I'm probably just not doing it right, though. lol
hmmm.... maybe i should open another intake vent?

LOL, odd. I still get the listings I posted above. The infinity carbon filters are also incredibly expensive. Sadly I will be sticking with my noisier 4" for now. Between the carbon filter and T6 cost it is just way too much money to spend. I did just upgrade to an HLG 600 Rspec with an HLG UV light bar attachment so I need to actually get some bud out of my tent before I start spending hundreds of dollars on more equipment to make it a bit quieter in my basement. Perhaps down the road......
