1st Set Up...Cheese

Wow. Really nice, bushy, and healthy plants there! I'm seriously impressed. You have natural talent, dude. No BS. There's not many people that can do it this well right off the bat. Maybe talent isn't the right word. Commitment? Common sense? Either way, you rock!

One thing I would say is don't base the amount of plants on your available space but rather on available light. You can have all the space in the world but if the plants are competing for the same light source it won't make much of a difference.

thanks bro, well this is my new hobby and spend as much time reading and checking, guess there is some luck involved too.:joint:
I have been misting regularly with water, and waiting until the coco is almost completely dry before watering. (thanks to some good tips!!!!)

So I'm curious. When are you going to flower the bigger plants? What are you gonna do with the jocks at that point? Are you going to try cloning? I highly recommend it. You don't have to worry about buying more seeds or getting males. Plus clones grow at least twice as fast in veg. Just makes it all around easier. I learned on my first grow and am very glad I did. I can show you the very simple way I do it if you want.

well, I have a bit of a time problem... I will be away for a few weeks in Dec. and dont want to have someone have too much troublw with the plants. so I will switch to flower after the Jock look good enough, thinking around 2 more weeks. then will flower all until I return and go from there. as for cloning, right after this grow, I will use my 'closet' to veg and the tent for flower. then will also start to clone as I will be here for few months at a time.

as I can also buy clones here at the local shop, im not so worried. there is a major vote here in switzerland about weed laws at the end of the month...

keeping an ear out for that:peace:

I knew you had already thought about all that stuff:blsmoke: I think you'll learn a lot from flowering one plant early and one later. The bigger plants will be pretty tall with lots of long branches and the smaller plants will grow into one fat little cola. It's pretty cool.

Will be nice to see the difference and for the next may use one or the other. thanks again bro

will also take up those cloning tips, and do that as well
next time around, i think.

Have you determined the sex of any of your plants yet? Pic #2 interests me for two reasons. First, I can barely make out what seems to be female preflowers which I've circled in the pic below. Also, if you refer to my crude sketch on the left side of the pic, sexually premature plants will grow two branches at each node - one on each side. Sexually mature plants have an alternating growth pattern with one branch on each side at every node. The plant in this pic is sexually mature so I know I'm looking at preflowers but it's a little blurry. Parts circled in the second pic below look male but again hard to tell. Maybe if you got more pics similar to the ones you have below we could figure it out.

Ahhh, that explains it. Clones are always sexually mature. They will have preflowers from the beginning of veg. For the seedlings you should know by the end of the week. Pics #10 and 11 have preflowers forming but too early to tell which way. This was the most stressful part of my first grow - waiting for male/female. At least you know you have some guaranteed females with the clones.

just a few shots, the Jock is coming in nicely now.:joint:

Looks good El Capitan. I'm not sure I emphasized enough in my journal how amazing the Jock is turning out for me. I have it along side two other pretty crucial strains and the Jock is the one I am most excited about. It's growing way fatter and frostier buds than my Bubblicious and the smell is ridiculous in the best way. They should do well for you.

I love to hear that!!! Also one of the reasons I got em, also the shop here has some Nirvana strains. Hence Early bud, Ice and Jock...
