Right, it's coming back to me now. One thing about HSO that seemed appealing was that they rated their strains in terms of mold resistance, which is nice for outdoor growers. I also thought their name choice was misleading.

I'm west coast, so I checked Hembra out, nice that they take CC. I only saw HSC in 10 packs, more than I need.

This is the second place I've seen Night Owl seeds going for $50 for three seeds. If I got just one pack, with shipping (and tax) I'd be paying over $20 per seed, and they are F1's. I know Daz knows what he's doing and I'm sure he is expertly hand picking the phenos he uses from large samples, but I just can't go there. I hope he has the resources (and desire) to stabilize some of his Cosmic Queen crosses, they sound amazing.
One of the unfortunate things about HSC is that they only sell 10-packs of fems or 20-packs of regs, running ~100-110 depending on the bank. It's not cheap but it's comparable to most seed prices.

I'm sure Daz's stuff is good, but at $16-17 a seed I'm out; especially for an auto where you can't take a cut and keep it in veg, so unless you're going to self the thing three seeds = three plants. I didn't realize they were F1s, that's a bit of a trade-off since you'll get great vigor but less-than desirable consistency, even from good breeders (think of the mephisto freebies, they're F1s too)

I get mine from Hembra genetics because they're on the west coast (San Diego area) but they're definitely not the only place that carries them, DC seed exchange is an american east coast bank that carries their gear.

HSO is the one that got busted; they operated out of Spain. A lot of people swore by their genetics but the fact that they didn't just come out and say they were a Spanish company always sketched me out a little bit.
I've done HSO CDOG and DR GREENTHUMBS EMDOG, good strains but shitty, tiny little seeds. I've gotten my HSC genetics from SeedsHereNow.ccguns

My new delivery of Alien Vs Triangle. They popped yesterday. I decided to forgo the solo cup/transplant at 7 days, and go right into 3 gallon plastic pots. I get better result with plastic as it is more stable when moving plants around, so roots don't get shocked ( I'm assuming thats a thing...although I don't know for sure). I always transplant autos, so it will be interesting to see if the yield will be more this way.

Giddy up :bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

Still haven't grown one indoors (the only AvT seeds I have left were "AvT special", a freebie pheno that's not as good), but one of the best autos I've grown outdoor so far. I think you'll love it.

Fugue is on the way :hump:
Totally jealous... that's one on my wish list. Great lineage.

The description it has on their site sure is good.
Mine were super frosty and potent, and a solid producer.

I wouldn't have gotten it if not for your post. :peace:
Glad to help. :)

I had Fugue State in my cart along with some others, but was not into sending cash/cashiers check and don't have bitcoin, so when I learned those were my options I bailed. I'm at the point where I don't need any more seeds, so it's no heartbreak when I miss out on something.

This Monday's drop is a dud for me. I'm glad, actually, because I just ordered seeds elsewhere and I'm somewhat over-extended. I should thank them for helping me be fiscally responsible adjacent. At least for one more week.

NICE! those were the same ones I was interested in. Looks like you lean to the Sativa side also. That was a pretty quick turn-around on their part, good to see. :)
Yeah, my family that I grow with enjoy sativas. I do too, but I can't say I had a ton of choice in the matter because it was the week when they were only selling the beginner/restock packs. Still, I'm happy with the strains. Hopefully there are some particularly nice phenos in the Samsquanch OG x Forum Stomper F1 freebies, because they sent five of those and two of the Mango Smile x Skywalker seeds.

They had about a 1-week lead time for the seeds because of the bedlam of orders on the first mephisto monday; they generated the shipping label on monday a week after I had ordered, and it was delivered today. So the total turnaround time was 11 days, but only 4 days from the time it was shipped.

The HBH and Ripley's I believe are supposed to have the potential to get big, so I was looking at those for outdoor growing because they might really fill out when planted in the ground.

They must have knocked out a lot of the F1 crosses, because I have similar but different ones from a couple of months ago -- Mango Smile x Cosmic Queen, and Skywalker OG x Crem de la Chem. The freebies are interesting, I have a hand full of those at this point, maybe I'll do a SOG one of these days and burn them up.

I was thinking that the F1s might be perfect for outside (maybe not the CDLC one because I've heard CDLC and its crosses are not large plants), just because F1s are usually quite vigorous so they might benefit from the space, and the space also means the phenotypic variation matters less (e.g. if some barely stretch and others stretch a ton it can make a tent awkward)

Look sorry for being ignorant here, I have never grown Auto flowers and don’t plan on it but just wondering is there really a such thing as good genetics? Granted there taking photo periods and crossing with some bunk dirt weed? So I never smoked any and I honestly don’t know . if someone did a side by side smoke test can they tell the difference if u had a photo from same genes as the auto? I’m seriously asking not trying to down grade any grow !

There are several threads that go into comparisons and debates about autos, do a search, shouldn't be hard to find one. This is not one of them.
Thanks for understanding.

Yes, there is such a thing as good genetics for both autoflower and photoperiod strains. Well-bred plants will show less phenotypic variation between plants germinated from seed, have specific terpene profiles that are considered desirable, and desirable growth patterns and bud appearance. They are also often bred for potency profiles, whether that is high THC, or a desired mix of cannabinoids (such as high CBD low THC strains, 1:1 CBD:THC strains, and strains rich in more trace cannabinoids like CBG).

Photoperiod strains are often more potent than autoflower strains, which is why autoflower strains are often used commercially for extracts, where the potency of the flower matters less, and the terpene profiles and fast growth times for autoflowers make them especially well-suited.

Thank you for that reply maybe one day I'll give her a whirl sounds good for outdoor! Cheers happy grow
