Way back machine time …..

Brick pressed like a granola bar - all finger “ grind “ - sticks , seeds and mystery things. One handed zig zag fill , lick and seal. Used to call it MOTA ( slang )

Now grinder for an occasional joint or cone but mostly now for volcano vape and edibles/ tinc

I traded nugs with a guy in a parking lot 3 days ago while i was at work. He and his gf were smoking "spliffs" before they walked uptown. He said hanging with Jamaicans got him into adding a little tobacco to his roll, making it a spliff. He said Jamaicans ( his friends) also add a spicy tobacco along with the regular. I'm not sure if it was tobacco or some sort of spice. I told him to look for clove cigarettes if he was interested in something spicy. First thing that came to mind.

I use a $25 space case grinder i ordered from Ebay. I dont grind it to dust, rough grind only.

Europeans start calling their tobacco mixtures “spliffs” and it caught on around the turn of the century. But I know my homie Bob wasn’t talking about “excuse me while I light my (tobacco laced) spliff.” And I’ve never seen him not smoking a cone. So cones are spliffs, but Europeans ruin the English language as they always do.
Im Australian and a Cone is and has always been a single use shot (with or without spin((tobacco)). What you would pack and use in a bong. Not used at all in a wrap of any kind.

eg. I went home and had a couple cones and felt allot better.

I hate kief catchers. I want to get high on weed now, not dust my dedusted weed later. I usually only use a grinder for joints, but that will probably change once I upgrade mine.

@bk78 is going to come in here and flex his god tier grinder.
If your shits too dry most of the kief hits the bottom. I’ve ground a good couple pounds through this grinder and only had a light dusting of kief. Still stick free too!

the Santa Cruz shred well. Different shaped teeth. I noticed I was getting less high using a standard 2 part grinder. But yeah no kief catcher doesn’t change much if you’ve got a 3 part grinder.

i currently use a ceramic coated grinder.. it still gets gummed up eventually, but it takes longer. I used scissors for years but there is something special about the first time you grind up new flower and that look you or your friends get when those pungent terpenes hits the nose all at once.

I like my ceramic coated grinder alot, there are a few brands that make them out there and it doesn't gum up but you need to be careful not to scrape the coating with any metals if trying to clean it

bluebus is the one I bought, and I love it!
