By the way, anyone who refuses to do something for no other reason than the fact that he has been told to do that thing is NOT "in control" they are just as manipulated.

Freedom is being able to make a choice in any situation which includes opting to do what has been ordered.

I get a kick out of adults who figure that a knee jersey opposite reaction to a mandate somehow demonstrates their ultimate independence and "rebellious American nature".

Knee jerseys! Now there is a fashion trend that needs to die. Quickly, violently, decisively. (failure to conceal shudder)

I got vaccinated because I was convinced it would be effective to protect not only myself but by reducing my likelihood of getting it, would also protect my mother. I'm her primary care giver and her only son living near enough to visit her regularly.

I'm glad my company has a vaccine mandate because it reduces the number of people in the workplace who have no immunity and are more likely to contract the virus, thereby protecting the work force, especially those who are immune deficient.

It's too bad that a lot of people either don't care about others or are listening to bad advice. We've been mandating other vaccines to keep the public safe, why not the coronavirus vaccine? It has been proven safe and effective.

I don't understand protecting others from irrational behavior somehow destroys "freedom". I want freedom from this virus.

Not sure what you guys are fighting about now, but did you know pants are a weird new experience for trans people when they get a dong. Mind blown, never thought about the fit of pants and the inclusion or exclusion of a weiner in terms of what they would feel like.

Welp. That's my story.
That’s

hard.
Just hard, man.

All my adult life I have played the odds. Risk vs benefit. We can only do that if we are clear headed and reasonable.

It is difficult for people to deal with large numbers. If one in fifty will get sick but I have no friends who have gotten sick the equation gets personal, and inaccurate.

I am "in control" while driving but the odds say I am in far greater danger than on a plane.

Heart disease will take most of us yet we eat crap because it won't happen to us. And yet we succumb to such base fear.

A hundred million injections and no deaths but just one report of heart problems has the anti vaxxers screaming even as one in 50 get very sick from the alternative.

And there is the new issue...the pills. I'm guessing that the anti folk will have no problem taking an untested pill even though they won't get an injection that has been more "tested" than any other vaccine.

I have a nephew who was very good athlete, started in HS football, joined the Marines, in just a few years he made sergeant. Bright kid, athletic, "my body is my temple" type. Eschews fast food, recently switched to vegetarian diet, once went on a kick about never drinking a hot beverage from a plastic cup.

I recently learned he took up smoking.

We aren't rational. I don't know how much "control" we really have. And marketing types know it.

The simple fact that you are positioning community as coercion suggests you are not winning.
Community? I'm in direct contact with 5-10 different people a month. Keep living packed on top of each other and communicable disease will be a much larger part of your life than mine.

Been trying to figure out how to turn it into a joke or something...but really it was a "huh...never thought of it" kind of thing.

It did beg the question, that I thought might have been rude so didn't ask, but if you design your own dong do you go for size or just functionality? The functional and feeling right/complete aspect is what seems important from their perspective...but man, don't think it would've gone over well to be like "so you get it horse sized? New career in porn. Just peeing the way that feels right..well sure, but but but..."

Too touchy of a topic for jokes :(

Tyrants are the only people you can't joke about.

As a very selfish man, I design it to feel amazing for me regardless the stimulus. Make me great again!

Or people that have been shit on pretty hard by most of society. It's not hard to be considerate and try and figure out how the other party will take things.

Made a 9/11 joke many years after the fact, had moved to the northeast and didn't even consider that people's parents died. Gotta read the room.

That being a dick move on my part doesn't have anything to do with tyrants.

It took a long time to figure out how much that day mattered. We’re still working it.

I was from the midwest. The entire area was referred to as a hybrid of the Pecos salsa commercial and slurring jews, "jew York city" said like new York city in the old pecos commercials. It was a super weird event, the midwest folks got super patriotic about people they said should be put to death the week before.
