I carry a lot of stuff . Water, first aid kit, toilet paper and plastic bags. Food, keys, phone .bear spray, pocket knife, since there are a lot of mountain lions where I live, I carry a 9mm In case it attacks me and brass knuckles in case I have to punch him in the mouth. Some hiking poles .
Pretty much the same for my day bag when you go to the boodocks plus a compass with declination.
The 1st aid bag is stuffed with tape, med tools, trauma bandages, coagulant gauze.
Schnapps, water filter and water tablets, mini umbrella is a lifesaver with a trashbag.

My main animal concern when walking, is running into unfriendly dogs in a pack. Carry an Air Horn and pepper spray or Bear Spray at times. I’ve mostly lived in or close to small towns and been playing and hunting and hiking in woods forever and never had a problem with wild animals.
We have plenty of predators but If there were more Mountain Lions, I’d more likely carry a handgun.

this is gonna sound lame, cause you guys are talking about in the wild, but i remember i was taking the kids to the zoo, few years back and i started teasing the mountain lion through the massive glass window, like na na come get me blah blah,

it ignored me at first, but i kept going on here puss puss

then it walked up the back of its enclosure got a full run up, ran at full speed, bounced off a side wall, flew about 12-15 feet in the air and almost landed on my side of the glass window, but it just didnt make it, i shut the f up after that

Well, I want both a mig and a stick welder. I like having both. On the job i mostly used stick but at home i use the mig allot more.
Leaning towards just getting a buzz box here soon. Then a mig later. I could’ve already used a buzz box here more than a few times.
I rarely stick weld any more. It's funny it feels like every few years I'll do it though. I still have this

I think I bought it even before welding school. The wacko neighbor down the street had some crazy project and couldn't weld for shit. He got frustrated and sold it to me for I think it was $150 lol it's the AC/DC one too. I was about 15 when I got it and it's been everywhere with me. I mostly tig, mig is a close second, but I doubt I'll ever get rid of that one. I've watched it fall off trucks a few times.....down a set of stairs lol

I’ve used these for years now. lift and go I use them at home at work they are great for all jobs unless it’s structural and need to exceed specified amp rating on the welder but they do tig and stick. I can’t get used to the peddle on the bigger tig welders and I don’t really like that new pulsing arc stuff. I don’t really mig anything anymore as mostly everything is stainless I work around now.3AA40F26-BB1E-46C7-8533-6D29538B7887.jpeg
