Pulse could be pretty nice if used right. It's extremely controllable. I get to play around with it a bunch.
We have one on the truck that pulses and it’s nice I can use it I just don’t like it I was taught old fashion lol I don’t like change much. I don’t even really care for the peddle I prefer lift and go but yeah the pulsing can be nice some of the younger guys do some nice stuff with it.

I was taught old fashioned also. LOL but I can't stand lift arc. I'm into as much control as I can get.

My welder is on a double breaker. So you would need to run each one of those to separate loops on separate breakers to work. Correct?
A typical 220 outlet has two hot wires from a ganged breaker, the adapter does the same thing, however it is limited to the amperage of a single outlet. The 220 outlet is usually 30 amp or possibly 50. Welders run 30 I think.

I do know the 220 gets the two hots. But who has two outlets on separate legs right next to each other to do that? + a extension cord can still be used after you wire up a 220 outlet in the shop.

Edit: yeah I'm almost positive my 220 is all on 30's.

No real downtime anymore. I used to have the first couple months of the year free of gigs and running around in order to revamp and get things done. But the music biz is now so successful that there is no time off, many gigs each week. Fantastic problem to have, but it takes some getting used to. I have been house hunting lately - I've always been content in my little apartment with my awesome little grow room, but I've been here for over 15 years, and just have the urge to gtfo and invest in a property. I've saved almost $200k at this point (thanks to my little green girls), so down payment and closing costs aren't an issue. I'm even thinking of buying something cash, but I love the feeling of having a large cash cushion as I get older. I finally found a price for my weed that brought most of my old clients back - $120 an ounce. I cannot fucking believe it. From $350 before local legalization. I never thought it would get this low. The only affordable housing around Chicago is on the south side, and those murder and assault rates are insane, and getting worse. For example, per 100k people the national average is 6 murders. On our south side it is as high as... wait for it... 150!!! Fuckin' YIKES. Yet right over the border into Indiana, it drops to zero in some towns. I obviously have to be close to Chicago, as 90% of my gigs are there, so I'm pretty sure that's where I'm headed. The downside is they have pretty draconian weed laws, especially for growing. There isn't even medical there. On the upside, it is a great black market where I can command better weed prices. I'm gonna have to switch to aero there, too, as I can't be throwing out massive bags of perlite/vermiculite/rockwool root balls in my own trash. I'll just burn the excess plant matter in the fire pit ;) Zero weed emissions. Been looking at properties with a broker in Illinois, but he's not licensed in Indy, so I'm going to get one in Indy to show me properties starting this week. It is a real buyer's market right down, and prices just keep falling. I want to take advantage before winter is over and demand perhaps increases. Plus my lease is up in July. So much to do...
Anyway, it was a harvest week and I blasted through it in between gigs. Just filled up two 36 site cloners. I'll probably end up killing half of them, but I want to have the option of bringing a batch to the new home in case I find something great and close quickly. Starting a new grow at a new location seems like a daunting, yet exciting, task. Yeah, I know, TLDR fo real. Fuck you, I haven't posted much lately and had pent up shit ;)

We got out toured some of the tornado damage from Thursdays storms. The one that went north of me was a EF3 and really wide like a half mile wide or larger and on the ground for more than 60 miles . Pine trees snapped off 10’ above the ground, like everyone in its path . At one point we could see for 10-15 miles through the forest just like it was a highway. Cedar trees twisted like a dishrag being rang out. 200 year old oaks up rooted and moved a 100 yard . I’m thinking that it was worse than an EF3 but I don’t know the requirements for the distinction. I’ve seen what an EF5 does to a community and this storm wasn’t close to that but I don’t want to see another one anytime soon, I’m done for a few years.

Thanks, bro. I believe the water is from Lake Michigan, same water in Chicago. It's pretty hard, but they use chlorine instead of chloromine, so it's easier to work with. Works great for my plants so far ;)

Man I tell ya. I, my plants, have never ever had a problem with tap water having chloramines in it. I’ve grown in towns all over california that had it. I think it’s a good thing for hydro. Not so sure it being great for organics though.

Great to hear. I run strictly synthetic, so no problem there. I think I'm going to build Stinkbud's Aero/NFT systems. 3 of them under 2 1000w HPS should give me a pound every 3 weeks. That's a little better than currently do, so that will be fine with me. How's your grow going? You always have amazing grows going on...

Prices took a huge shit. So after a little more than 30 yrs, i quit:-(
chloramines will actually help in a low pressure aero setup like the ones i used to rock. Like the ones stinkbud showed on here.
I built tubes for allot of people way back in the day and grew in them myself for years. I only started having root problems when i started using RO water. I would do things different if I rocked them again these days. I would prob use some
Pool shock like we do for in a cloner.
Good luck with them. We used to start flower with freshly rooted cuts, no veg. They will grow so damn fast. You gonna build or buy them built like the name brand Aeroflo?

I hear you. I love Dutch Masters Zone for sterile roots, it is a copper sulfate solution. They are out of business and I only have a gallon left. After that, I'm going to try to mix my own cs solution, or just use the pool shock. Do you think the Aeroflo 60 would be better than a few of Stinkbud's systems? I was hoping someone made his kit, so I could just buy them, but I'll DYI it if I have to. I kinda like the idea of 3 separate systems in case one fails, I'll still be okay. They stopped making the 60, but a few stores still have them for sale.

If i’m not mistaken, stinkbud system uses sprayers like the ones in cloners? If so, those would continuously get clogged imo. So a little bit different than how the aeroflo is setup. The aeroflo setup is closer to my design. Pretty much just a polished up version of mine. The spray manifold is up high, with holes shooting streams of nutrient solution down.
i made the pee holes the size of a metal coat hanger so I could unclog if and when it would happen.
I can’t really speak for stinkbuds but the aeroflo is more like mine so i like the aeroflo. If you were around here I’d help you build some bro.
