They've devolved to cruel. They want to punish, even execute those who are not them.
It does not take long for such groups to circle the drain; they self-reinforce and spiral down quickly. You see it in social media like the parlor or other forums that are not moderated. It's where the term comes from, they moderate the content and enforce the TOS or it all goes to Hell pretty quickly. It's the same when they took over the GOP and with Trump's help, they drove out the moderates and attracted more wingnuts, all the while ratcheting up the violent anti-democratic rhetoric and threats.
