Blaze & Daze

It actually rained hard here for a couple minutes last night. Had a few thunderstorms wandering around making noise past their usual bedtimes. Roxy was not happy but at least there weren't any real close lightning strikes that rattle the house. This happens occasionally but not often. Some of the monsoonal flow got wrapped up in a low that's heading east and has been keeping our temps unseasonably cool. They are out looking for lightning sparked fires this morning but at least there isn't much wind and it is still cool.
Mornin.

I've got gigs today with my trio, and tomorrow solo. Lots of driving both days, they're both far. Getting everyone's weed order in so I can make deliveries, I feel like an illicit Uber driver. I had a Holter heart monitor attached on Thursday for a 2 week evaluation. It is the smallest one I've ever seen, and it sits right below my left clavicle. It is not attached to anything, either. It simply records data then I mail it in. It has a little clicky button in the middle of it that I'm to press each time I feel any kind of event - pain, tightness, irregular heart beat, sudden death, etc.. It takes a snapshot to highlight the data. New cardiologist wants to know what he's dealing with. I haven't received any notices yet, but I want to get as many medical things done quickly, before the medicaid cuts start. Caught up with some old friends via telephone this week, and having dinner with friends irl tomorrow. That's more than my weekly quota of socializing. Hope everyone's weekend is starting off right.

New plant is good. Always happy with this cross. Ran out last month. Was excited to get it cut down, my back felt good enough yesterday, paying for it today though. However, 3 days ago it was really bothering me and I ripped a branch that was in the way of my watering can off in a tizzy. Dry enough to smoke today cuz of how hot my grow room is this summer. A bonus to the bogus I suppose.

Spent a bit in the jungle that I call my raised beds and harvested the easiest of the ripe fruits.
After just an hour of wandering around picking fruit and I am drenched in sweat.

May you get your fill of vitamin C(apybara).
Great job on the veggies looking great. Watch out for the habaneros, lol. Yesterday I had to change shirt three times by noon. Literally could ring each one out. Like I jumped in a pool and came out wet, then cold riding down on ATV to get changed,uhhh...

Thanks!
This is my second year gardening, and my first year results were sad AF. Still learning, of course.

(sorry, you caught my attention while I am on the upswing of an edible, and now i'm gonna be a chatty cathy. it is the way.)
My cukes are sad, but at least they grew this year.
I have had a few teeny carrots.
None of my sunflowers (for the second year!) or catnip germinated.
I mowed down a blackberry bush that I purchased after saving it from the wrath or Roz. It lives, but its gonna be a moment before I can propagate it. lol.
My outdoor cannabis went through early flower and reveg ( I blame the abundance of overcast days in the spring).
And my weed control for my inground beds is non-existent.

I do consider the ton of volunteer plants in a wild patch I chuck odds and ends into a "W". Kind of a chaos compost bed.
Also, most afternoons I will have korean instant ramen for lunch, and I will walk out and get a few serranos and jalapenos to add more heat and texture variety to my lunch. It is a real pleasure.

Anywho, looking at making homemade salsa. Might have to bare the heat this afternoon and do some grilling of some gringo fajitas, despite earlier protests to grilling in conversation with P-Mother-S.

Yeah cukes can grow crazy especially with something for them to grow up on. Just watch out for squash and cucumber beetle's they have a yellow stripe, one bite of plant and gives diseases,so squish em. Weird not germinating sunflower must be bad batch I usually plop in ground and grows crazy. We have catnip in our flower garden I cut back a few times a year and fill ATV and throw out. I can save it and dry out if you want it. I'll take pics when I'm up there Monday. I'll send it to ya just gonna get tossed anyways.
