why? the air from above the light is being pushed through the kooltube and being brought out the tent its not like im circulating the air that is going through the tube

Because the draw from the fan is greater then the air being pushed and resisited meaning you get more air flow from the suction then the push meaning heat moves out faster and sucks in more cooler air that gets sucke over your bulb then the warmer air exits. In revers the flow is restricted and it can build more in the flex tube and its already heated making the fan work harder

Ok if air is moving out of a tunnel at 100 miles an hour or at 60 miles an hour which would have more air moved out quicker causing a vacum effect with air in that tunnel?

Ok Im not gonna get into physics with you ill give it one more try on the most basic level i can then its just your choice as Im trying to explain it as best i can. You know what wind resistance and air friction are correct? The fan if its in front of the light blowing at it has multiple resistance points. The motor blades, the light socket and the bulbs all blocking the tube creating resisitance. the fan itsself has non forced air enter via the back at a slower speed then it exits. The fast moving air via drag and friction has to pass the blades the socket and the bulb to escape this slows the air flow like a ball in vacum hose. Now move the fan in front the air is already past thge bulbs and socket and enters the fan intake. Now the only resistance on exit is the blades so the air moves faster. the faster the air movement out the quicker heat goes out. the quicker heat leaves the less time it can heat the flex tube and kool tube meaning less radiant heat which inturn mean less ambient air temperature rise which means a cooler tent. best i can do its your choice pick what makes you happy. sorry

Fletch, way to be so patient. Haha. Pulling through the hood, you exhaust right around 60% of the heat the lamp gives off. Trust the man Widow.
