Only 2 seeds from 5 broke root today and had them in the dark for 4 days. i skavenge some money and bought some soil. Hyponex 10lbs bag of siol i bought for 1 dollar. i placed 2 seeds in seperate plastic see through cups with soil. There sittin under 2 26watt bulbs. Jack two of those spiral lights from wal-mart, it said "26=100". Im too poor to afford a cam but will try 2 get some pics. So wish me luck guys.

GOOD LUCK

1. don'tuse clear cups - WHEN lights hits soil.. wet soil.. you'll get fooked
2. make sure you have drainage
3. put the plants in 3 gallon containers..
4. dont tell anybody...

I see. Would pickle jars work?? well i have been reading and it seems like 2 3/4 foot cabinet would not do. So im thinkin of knockin off the bottom of the cabinet and saw 2 holes enough for a pickle jar or something bigger and make a adjustable stand when it gets bigger. And should i put aluminium foil all inside the cabinet?

I got a 50 dollar gift cert. from amazon wats something good to invest?

See the nice thing about this website is that you don't need to be rich
to read the "how to grow" threads. Also you will find out with experience
that some people are way to much into playing god and buy all this shit for
there plants that they don't need. Also if it isn't done correctly you can kill
your plants or make them sick. I wonder why if people are growing two plants
why they would spend money on all that shit that cost way more than they could
ever possibly expect to make back by the plants yield.

These 3 things are the most important......
Weed is a weed and will grow pretty much even if you deprive it of one of these three things
I would say practice using nutes first...If you want to save money learn how to use Piss.
Store bought Nutrients are derived from Urea---AKA Piss, so wether people think it is gross to use piss or not,
You really are using a piss product anyways....So I like to at least use my own.....
Instead of from places unknown.
Do not pee directly on plants....Only use a little piddle and dillute it with water if you are
still trying to save money. Learn how to crop if you are trying to make your plants
shorter and bushier.

some say MG is good and other don't, seems like a toss up to me

MG's main ingredient is still Urea derived nitrogen, pee pee...Nitrogen.
MG is cheap and effective. But if you can find a plant food that is
20-20-20. It works a lot better.

These 3 things are the most important......Weed is a weed and will grow pretty much even if you deprive it of one of these three things.

I wish it was that simple! But this is just mis-information. Without light - cannabis will die, without water - cannabis will die. On the other hand, cannabis can do very well without soil (it's called hydroponics).

Cannibis has six basic needs, or Limiting Factors (seven, if you count a proper ph adjustment). That is to say that if you supply all six "basics" to your plant, in an optimum combination - you should acheive near-perfect results. If any of the basic needs are found wanting (less than optimum), the results will suffer accordingly. Any extreme diviation from optimum conditions can result in problems, poor growth or even death if prolonged. In other words; if you do everything right, in these six areas, you will end up with some "Kick Ass" plants. If you do really badly in just one area; your plants could die.

The six Limiting Factors are:
1. Light: both the proper spectrum and intensity.
2. Water: at a "reasonable" purity and ph balance.
3. Nutrients: Machro-nutrients, Secondary nutrients and Micro-nutrients.
4. Medium: something for the roots to grow into and support the plant. Ph balance is also important here because the nutrients can affect the ph balance of the medium.
5. Atmosphere: proper amounts of Co2 and Oxygen must be provided.
6. Temperature: not too hot - not to cold.

You caught me on a technicality. LOL. The plant will do fine if it's not given soil, but you know it wont grow without water or light.

I took that to mean "even if you deprive it of (any) one of these three things" - not just the soil. I've always needed water and light in order to grow plants - that's what I was talking about. Sorry for any misunderstanding - Peace, Out!

Okay i got 2 lil 1's growin now. the oldest is about 4 inchez and the youngest is about 2 inchez about a week apart... i got them under 4 23=100 watt bulbs. Both plants are in the same 4 gallon pot. The tip of the leaves are yellow on the oldest... but the youngest doesnt. I water them when the plate under the pot with water is all gone... like 2 times a week. There on the eighteensix lighting. LOL!!!! fuck these other vatos essay!!! ahahhaah listening to my lil sisters watching Blood in Blood out ahahah

if your light look more orange than blue/white then you are using te wrong light for the wrong cycle. are you using nutes if so stop they are two younge and there should never be water inb the tray below, you should water maybe once a week or less i have about the same set up and the cfl's dont put out as much light or heat so the plant dosnt use as much water and there isnt enough heat hitting the soil to dry it out. some pics would really help too

i use the miricale grow tomatoe for veg and they have a flower one that i use for flowering

you can flush your containers with 3 times the the volume with water, just use water from now on until they look like they need nutes. good luck
