Another first CFL grow

i finally got the pictures to upload. let me know what you think. I think some of them are on 2 different days. I would like to grow 2 plants, but I am worried i wont have enough space. plus I have to large of a pot for this one grow. is it to late to transplant into a smaller pot? then I would have enough room in my cab for 2 plants. some many different options, i am torn. i also added the picture my boxer dakota, shes cool

Aother transplant might but a lil much, but it would make room for another plant, might as well give it a try, i mean you have learned alot so far, and you can take the knowledge and apply it to the next plant, i have done the same when i started out, lost 2 grows cause of my CFL's falling on them, but i never gave up and got a good first harvest, now that i think of it i wouldnt have done so good on that one plant if i didnt mess up on the others, keep us posted man

damn.. watsup SICC.. your always on all different kids of threads helping us Noobs out. but yeaa. your plant is a little short and stubby.. but it does look good!! i wanted to do a plant like that.. a plant thats only a few inches tall but wicked bushy.. maybe u should try buying some paperclips and bend them to your liking and hold them down or something.. thats what im trying with one of my plants.. here. u can take a look at my plants if you'd like. but deffinetly keep us poset.. i also like to see seeds from weed thats uknown.. usually Midds.. or Schwagg etc.. thats what my plants are too. and i also love seeing people that just have the bare minimum like only a few lights.. not HID lights or MH lights.. or hydroponic system.. good luck. im sure you can make somethin happened with Her.

thanks chb, i appreciate you stopping by to check me out. i have been trying to keep her pinned down, but she is so thick inside it is hard to . i just pinned down 5 of her outer most branches which opened up her canopy a lot. once you look in the canopy and all the branches there looks like these is about 30 bud sites, if not more. my next round of pics will definitely show more of her off, maybe tomorrow or wednesday. I think she is starting to show sex today, but still hard to tell. i just bought a timer so I can change my lighting whenever she is ready. I want to take Sicc's suggestions, but I am so far along and i dont have a lot of lights that I think i may just ride this one out. his party cup grow rocks, so i am definitely using smaller containers next time, and I am thinking of at least 2 next time. I am using the same MG nutes as you, they seemed to work real good. just have to make sure we flush good before harvest. your plants are looking good too. definitely lst them. someone made the comment on another thread that topping can stunt your plants which takes time to recover, but if you just bend them over they are not stunted and therefore require no recovery time. just a thought. now I am going to go scrib to your thread and post, peace chb, and happy growing

Oh you just reminded me with that post, your plant wont show sex until the light schedual is on 12/12, and after that it will show within 14 days, i understand not being able to get a fresh one going, but im lookin forward to this, LSTing should be good, since she is still a lil tiny, i would let her veg out some more, then g to 12/12

really? i thought if it matured it would show sex? I know my plant does not look any where near mature in the pic's, but under 24/7 light for 32 days it may mature regardless of size. never the less, if that is the case I am glad I purchased a timer today. i may do a 18/6 schedule for a few days and see what she does. i thought about taking away one hour every night for a week or two. so like 23 hours tomorrow, 22 the next, 21 the next, and so on. it would only take 12 days of this and she would be at 12/12. Has anyone ever done that? Maybe I will veg till after turkey day and then switch the time schedules. it will give me a chance to give her veg nutes one more time, prob thursday morning. thanks for all your advice Sicc! laterz

Well plants do mature, after a certain point, and people do look for pre sex signs, but you kno for sure when you go 12/12, i would set her up on 18/6 for a week or so, you should see a big difference in growth, 24/0 can stress the plant, so that could be a factor in her stunting, they need some time to rest

i would HIGHLY recomed not doin that! at all, if it is a girl, it will most likely go hermie at that point if ur gunna do it just switch em. if it aint broke dont fix it.

here is a pic update. still cannot get inside the canopy real well, but I tried. try zooming in on the pics. i can tell you that the original tops are so thick and hard, i cannot bend them over at all. they are the size of a #2 pencil, if not a little bigger.

by the way, how can you tell if the plant is indica or sativa? can anyone look at my plant and tell? i read on someones posts that indicas grow shorter and bushier and are normally better inside. mine seems to fit that bill, but I dont know.

Looks more on the indica side but its kinda hard to tell, she looks alot bigger in those pics for some reason, i would defiantly vegg her longer, she has some more potential then i thought, she looks really good

thanks sicc. i pinned her down yesterday, and all 5 branches had to be repinned down today, they grew about 1/2 and and were all pointing straight up, and yesterday i literally had them pointing down in the dirt!! i am gonna give her nutes on tomorrow or thursdays watering, depending when she dries up.

alright sicc, i could resist no more, realy there was absolutely no reason for me not to listen to your last tidbit of advice, so my girl is snoozing away right now! she will wake up in just under 6 hours. i have to make her night our day because she is in a bonus room with no heating and air, so the room is only 10-15 degrees above outside, and inside the cab is about 15-20 above that, keeping her toasty at 80 degrees. i have a light in there with a sensor that comes on when it gets dark, and I have it all taped up with metal tape and covered so as not to leak any light in while the girl is sleeping. i have not seen the cold nights and days yet, so I still dont know how long my setup will last. hopefully i can maintain 65-85 degree temps, and if so then i dont have a worry. i am not to worried, pot does grow wild (kinda!!) outside after all without any TLC, so as much as I am giving her, she should do fine.

the light change should also induce flowering sooner, so we should know for sure the sex in about a week. YEA!!!

Sounds good man, but again, they wont show sex in 18/6, this will promote more growth, so when she is ready to flower, you will have a better harvest, after 12/12, which you should be in a week or two, she will show sex

I fucked up and busted one of those time release fert capsules which are in the soil like 2 days after she sprouted, and that stunted her. but I think it actually helped her for the long run, so I started to lst her while she recovered, and now her main stalk is laying on the ground, almost flat. shes gonna be a beast!

Hey bro, the plant is looking a bit stunted, could be the higher temps in the beginning and the incident with the time release, but its nothing a lil more veg time wont cure. Sicc has some very good advice, you will notice the difference with an extra week or two, and for sex, my plants are starting to show now, i switched to 12/12 on sunday and my fem seed is the only one to reveal sex so far. I gradually decreased from 18/6 over about a week's time, try to mimic natural occurrences like a light breeze and light times, and she should thrive in the environment your giving her! Good luck dude im pulling up a chair for this one!

FYI dood, girls take longer to show sex than guys, so ur lookin good if ur fem seed showed and others didnt!
