Another first CFL grow

First grows are the greatest learning tools. I think my first grow is going to give me a shit yeild but I learned so damn much. Your plant looked so kick ass that I know your gonna grow some bad shit. Condolances and a rep my man. peace

thanks everyone. i thought about keeping him going and make some hash or something, but I really want some bud! I did keep him and let him cure while wait to start the next grow. I dont have the money for any fem seeds, or anything like that, but this next time I am starting 2 or 3, so I should have some better odds. I think I am going to stay away from the 24/0 schedule this time though. But everyone states that is un-natural, but if you think about it the way most of us grow is somewhat un-natural. But it goes to show the resilience of mother nature, to be able to adapt to 24/0 sun, or being forced to flower and the abrupt light changes.

Yea man from what i have been hearing there is alot of different opinions on 24/0, i dont like it, i go strait to 18/6, maybe the furst days until they pop up but thats it

that was actually 1 plant, lst'ed, and fim'ed, lots of satelites. turned out male, so i pulled him. it was from some bag of smoke I picked up, so i dont know the strain, the bag was pretty good though, so I am sure growing my own would be great.

heyyy mann... sorry to hear about that.. yeaaa ive been creeping on your thread for a while now.. just readin but not really postin anything.. lol.. but ecerything was looking good mann.. im sory to hear its a male.. i know how you feel.. i grew 4 plants.. and they ALL sprouted white hairs everywhere!! and i was sooo happy... then.. seemed like over night!! balls started showing up everywhere!!! and i ended up with 2 hermies.. one smaller plant i LST's that lookes like shit... and another plant.. that looks really good.. but the white hairs seem to just be staying the same length...?? lol.

but while they were growin.. i started 6 other seeds.. and surprisingly.. they ALL sprouted.. soo right now ive got 6 more growin.. and im hoping that they ALL dont turn out to be hermies.... but yeaa i woiuld just plan ahead for it.. and grow like 2 or 3.. cuz from what i saw.. you sure can grow a nice looking plant.. i can only imagine if that plant was a female...!!! deff let us know when you start your new grow.. and also.. i think you should try 20-4 lighting.. ive always used 24-0... but im starting to think that maybe it is too much light... and they may need a little break.. and it will cuz down on my electricity bill. lol Good Luck!!

I've read light stress can hermie plants.. this means intense or uneeded light and unroutine schedules18/6 seems to be the best

i think the 24h schedule is good for the first week or so to get them started. mine seemed to do great and im about positive 2 are female so far. i see a couple tiny what im pretty sure are hairs here and there. i think the whole causes for males thing is a conspiracy ive put plants through damn near death and still had females

yeaaaa.. next grow im gonna try a different light schedule.. maybe give the 18/6 a try.. but im only gonna veg for a couple weeks tho.. cuz i vegges my plast plant for 3 weeks.. and theyre almost 2 feet tall now.. and its only been flowering for 3 weeks.. still got a while to go too.. =-/ and im running outta room!!!

yeah, lst'ing filled my little box up. i have a cool idea for the next one, since my containers are smaller and there will be 2, hopefully, seeds are taking forever to germ. i will keep everyone posted. I am still undecided for light. a lot of people have successful grows on 24/0. i am thinking 1 week of 24/0, 1 week of 18/6, then on to 12/12. i may do a week of 15/9 between 18/6 and 12/12. this may seem un-natural to some, but here on the east coast the sun changes over 2 months. so it seems more natural to gradually change. i dont think it will hurt. my last one was way more stunned from other things and me learning how to work an indoor. i think this one will be much better.
