Here's my first grow, with an all to obvious 'ghetto' set up. The light fixture is on a slender rope attached to the bar in the closet, I can raise it and lower it as necessary!

Agreed.. Any second hand store like Goodwill tends to have a lot of random stuff that can be used!! Fans, Boxes, bins, pots, heck, who knows, if you're lucky might even find light fixture stuff!! That wardrobe box mentioned before would probably be your cheapest option if you don't find anything at Goodwill tho!

i rode around here for 3 days looking for a cardboard box, all of the tv stores and furniture places all recycle now and there hard to find, so thats what i came up with, it has worked out well and its easy to cut holes for fans and such, and easy to cover up unwanted holes. and the cfl's dont get hot enough to worry about it being a fire hazard.

yeah goodwill works great with finding stuff, but I just cleared out my closet and a cupboard I had in my room and that worked... whatever works for you man.
