My First Grow... Outdoor on tight budget

If I were you I would just start my seeds outside till I got a proper light to start seeds with. You can make a mini makeshift greenhouse out of any kind of clear plastic container by just cutting the top off in a way where you can stick it back on and it will stay. That will protect from anything that may want to eat them. Just be sure to open it once a day for air.
When you have a seedling that stretches like those two that I saw, more times than not, they will end up dead.

Whats up with the two plants in one little pot with about half a cup of soil in it? And the one thats like six inches tall and budding??? This is what I call DRUG ABUSE!@$@##$
Yes starting seeds outside would keep them from stretching but also lead to them budding at 6 inches. The daytime light wasnt long enough when I put them out to keep them vegging so they started to bud. Now the daytime is longer and I probably could start new seedlings outside, but the g/f wont let me put anymore outside. I think I fixed the stretching problem by the 4th seedling.

So what the heck exactly is a "bagseed"? I originally got started in this adventure from a friend handing me 15 younglings he didn't have the room for. Been clonin ever since.... Have yet to pay for a girl or purchase a seed... Please enlighten

I think "bagseed" is just referring to seeds you find in the buds you buy off your local dealer or collective. Some people go as far as to consider mexican weed seeds bagseed too. My next grow I want to test chronic bagseed compared to mexican bagseed. Bagseed usually means you dont know the genetics and the only info you got on it is the weed you pulled it out of.

I got lucky the other day and found a seed in my blue dream sack... but I dont know what the seed was crossed with. I guess you could call this seed blue dream bagseed, but its very hard to track down the original grower and find out exactly what it could be crossed with so most strains from seed that have unknown genetics get labeled as bagseed.

I think these pics show exactly how much weed can vary based on different strains... The 2 in the same pot were started the same day ( some time back in feb) One budded and is started to reveg... the other one just showed preflowers and has continued to veg. The one that is in full Veg mode used to be smaller then the plant that was budding, but now is bigger because it didnt bud early... My guess is one of the seeds came from an auto flower mother (the budding plant) and the other is from a normal strain of weed.

cab cost me 40$ at wal mart, surge protectors and socket adapters were like 10$, 6 pack of 26W cfls was 14$... didnt use power tools... just a few different size screw drivers and a pocket knife to put it together.

I also got Mylar (window film yet to be installed ) from home depot 25$ (3' x 15') and a few different plug adapters 2$. and a 9$ fan from wal mart... and a timer from big lots 3$

totals 103$ +tax

If it was an auto it wouldn't re-veg.

Im pretty sure any plant will re-veg if the conditions are right... Its part of mother nature... Things just dont bloom once, but most people chop the entire plant down, so hence it wonldn't re-veg. If you leave big green fan leafs on the plant it will recover from clipping and eventually revert to re-veg. Autos in general refer to speedy strains. These go through veg fast and bud fast, but still they have the same life cycle... they veg, bud, then re-veg... Autos dont just die after they bud... people on here have done grow journals of entire rooms of autos that they perpetually trim the buds off and then let them re-veg. There are many grow journals you should look through and read before you start making statements without proof or backing. I will dig through all my subscriptions and find you the link to the journal of a perpetual auto room. If i remember correctly he ran lights 18/6 the entire time... and it took him 60 days then he trimed the buds off and let them re-veg. Another flaw in your thinking would be not to consider that people have taken clones off flowering autos and got those clippings to root and revert back to re-veg.

You need to keep in mind "auto" is a slang word and not off a taxonomy chart. And that general biology applies to all plants.

Im just copying what has been shown to work by other people that are considered very experience growers. Not just from this site but a few of my buddies grow for collectives, one owns a hydro shop too. These guys confirmed that you can re-veg an auto flower plant which is what I was waiting for before I replied to your comment.
