If it was an auto it wouldn't re-veg.
Im pretty sure any plant will re-veg if the conditions are right... Its part of mother nature... Things just dont bloom once, but most people chop the entire plant down, so hence it wonldn't re-veg. If you leave big green fan leafs on the plant it will recover from clipping and eventually revert to re-veg. Autos in general refer to speedy strains. These go through veg fast and bud fast, but still they have the same life cycle... they veg, bud, then re-veg... Autos dont just die after they bud... people on here have done grow journals of entire rooms of autos that they perpetually trim the buds off and then let them re-veg. There are many grow journals you should look through and read before you start making statements without proof or backing. I will dig through all my subscriptions and find you the link to the journal of a perpetual auto room. If i remember correctly he ran lights 18/6 the entire time... and it took him 60 days then he trimed the buds off and let them re-veg. Another flaw in your thinking would be not to consider that people have taken clones off flowering autos and got those clippings to root and revert back to re-veg.
You need to keep in mind "auto" is a slang word and not off a taxonomy chart. And that general biology applies to all plants.
Im just copying what has been shown to work by other people that are considered very experience growers. Not just from this site but a few of my buddies grow for collectives, one owns a hydro shop too. These guys confirmed that you can re-veg an auto flower plant which is what I was waiting for before I replied to your comment.
