envirolites 125, 200, 250, 300, good if you keep them real close, my early grows used them, check my el nino album or any from more than a year ago, you will do ok but use both at same time

Here, check this out. I was using 125w CFL's for flowering, I had to be there the moment that the lights turned on every day to make sure that my plants didn't grow into the light and get burned (higher wattage CFL's do put out heat) because you have to put them sooooo close to the plant to be effective. I find growing much easier with my 150W HPS, the light stays about 12 inches above the plants and all the buds are doing good, not just the ones that are 2 inches from the light. After 4 days under the HPS my buds grew much better. Check the pics.

Also pay attention to what people say, alot of people used to use them, thats what got me to invest in them. You should be asking what they are using now. You are on a budget so chances are the first thing you buy is going to have to last you for a while. Just sharing my experience, I made the same mistake. I wish I would have bought my HPS months ago.

But the proof is in the puddin. The new growth is after 4 days of flowering with the HPS.

hello mate you can use hps for both, i use dual spec bulbs. i still use a 250 watt enviro for the first few weeks til i get to about 5-7 nodes then under the hps.

so your saying u use a 250hps dual spec for veg and 250hps normal for flowering, sorry about all newbie questions, i was looking at the 600w hps, but my space is only 75x75x160, but i have inlet fan outlet fan with fan, will that be enought ventaltaion to keep temp dwn? thanks for your help

you can use a dual spec bulb right the way through, gives you ten percent blue in with red, supposed to be better i think. i guess you could put a 600 in there if you have a good enough inline fan pulling air through but id be more tempted to use a 400 watt, its what i use in a purpose built cupboard.

ok thanks mate, so this is my conclusion so far, ive got a 75x75x160 bud box, gna use a 400w hps dual spec, im going to put in 6 auto hindu kush autos in 6litre pots, ive got biobizz organic soil to put in them, 4" outlet with carbon filter and a 4" inlet fan anything else i need to add? im not sure if 6l pots are going to big enough? thanks for your help

metal hid 250w400w,600w,1000w for veg and H.P.S 250w,400w,600w,1000w for flower

I think a 250w or 400w not a 600w (may melt your tent seen it happen to greedy people) H.P.S would work best for your spot
There is just so meany ways to go with bulbs in a light set up just look in a hydrofarm catalog

i have 2 inline fans pulling out, not a big fan of pumping air in, just measured my cupboard and you got about 200 mil more head space than me so you shuld be fine, try doing 12-12 from seed, northern lights or grapefruit, no offence to lowryder but dont see the point unless you need ultra small plants, got 2 northern lights 12-12 from seed , started flowering at 2 and 1/2 weeks old, so should be total of 10-11 weeks seed to finished bud

there are probably lots of strains good for 12-12 from seed i only mentioned 2, yields under my 400 go between 6- 14 oz wet, not huge but i do 4-6 plants at a time.......... thc bomb and white shark are ok 12-12.

what litre pots do you have these in mate? big as possable a recon? 2 gallon pots? i'm going to have a look up on this, ive only looked up autos as i thought thats all i could grow in my space

been growing in compost but now changing to coco. i started them on tissue then into tiny pots then into about a 1 1/2 litre pot then when kicking some hairs i pot into a 10 litre, i never use bigger than 10 litre but may drop down to 6 litre pots with coco.
