Who is Fascist?

Hey, Dankster ...

You used the term "people like you." People like me are not fascists at all. People like me desire a small, less intrusive central government, with governing power in the hands of the individual states. People like me desire financial liberty. People like me desire the preservation of their privacy, free from government intrusion. People like me desire a sound money system, low inflation and the freedom to trade in open and free markets. People like me are the exact opposites of fascists and communists. People like me are called "Thomas Jefferson." ~lol~

Look at the platforms of Hillary, Obama and John McCain, then reread all my posts, then tell me who is closer to being a fascist or a communist.

I have been reading your post for 8 years Vi, I know you better than any of the people on here.
I have, and they don't, John McCain is a war mongering fascist, Obama and Clinton are trying to Help Society.... Obama more than Clinton........ you don't seem to realize that the road you are traveling is that the road we are travelling is a road of distraction. The current course our society is Fascism.... Who has perpetuated this, The republicans.... The So Called Conservatives.
Do you not think I do my research?

Your Ideology is more flawed than mine my friend.

It's heartless (although you think it is not) because you have not heart for the poor.....( you pay lip service to it and even make donations, but what you give is a small pittance)

Tell me, why is the elimination of the middle class a good thing?

while y'all are trying desperately to fit the opposing side into some neat little pigeonhole, you might try to remember that none of these labels were considered evil when they were first developed. because of the deeds committed in their name, history has condemned the terms, but the basic philosophies behind them are neither good nor bad. the concept of rabid nationalism combined with socialism could be considered a positive force in a weakened country surrounded by enemies and even the xenophobic ideologies behind nazism managed to unite a germany which had been shattered by the excesses of its former leaders.

i guess the point i'm trying to make is that these labels are a part of history and may do nothing more than cloud the issues we deal with in the present. no matter how hard you may try, you cannot honestly believe that either the reps or the dems are fascists. their philosophies may contain certain elements of fascist ideology (and both of them definitely do), but they are both bastard hybrids of all that has come before. to attempt to label either of them with such terms is nothing more than petty name calling based on the lies of history.

though there are many experiments that have yet to be tried, our government is so filled with pathetic dullards that nothing original can be considered. they insist on believing that attempting to slightly reconfigure an already failed idea they can make it work. they refuse to learn from the lessons of the past so, of course, they repeat those mistakes and take us along for the ride. instead of understanding the errors of socialism, the dems rush headlong into the arms of the stalinist wet-dream of total government control. instead of remembering the nightmare conditions of the early industrial era, the reps climb willingly into bed with the latest version of the good old-fashioned robber barons. both lead to the enslavement of the people, yet y'all are still stuck on the idea that your side is righteous and the rest are being deceived.

by the time you realize that you are all being deceived it is too late and, quite frankly, you probably deserve it.

Conservatism vs Liberalism. This is the battle. Supposed party loyalty merely dilutes the principles behind these philosophies. Although the US Supreme Court Justices, their decisions, and the nominating party of said Justices, can shed quite a bit of light on the party affiliations, or allegiances, to Conservatism or Liberalism.

The Dankster sez ...

"Your Ideology is more flawed than mine my friend."

My ideology is one of freedom and liberty. Your's is one of submission to the State. I'll take my ideology over yours any day.

Talk about the harbinger of gloom. Acording to you, there is no hope, everything has been tried and failed. I see the situation with a little less rancor. The repukes have had it their way for 10-15 years, with the little guy taking it up the ass. Now there comes a chance to reverse this trend with the peoples choice, Obama, the prince of hope, the pendulum swings. Is it the best of the best, who the fuck knows. it's been shitty for so long that even a little good news is wonderful. Capitalism has run rampant over the land and all the main players are so fucking spoiled and corrupt that it will be a battle royal to take this land back for the people, but I say Obama is the right man to start the ball rolling. The rich elites have had it their way way too long, sitting in their mansions sucking on 100 year old scotch talking about how the masses need more control, this shit has to change or the masses will end up as more like slaves than workers. At least you have a certain way of expressing yourself without offending, Kudos.

good post.

i have been desperately trying to help people understand that they are holding fast to a label when they choose republican or democrat. it's utter non-sense.

each phylosophy is basically deciding how best to spend the government's money. and both sides must realize that the government has no money...other then what it taxes from the people.

repubs traditionally believe that the government should tax very little and the people should be responsible and work hard and pay for things themselves.

dems believe that if it taxes a little bit more, the government can provide much more services, expecially for those less fortunate.

the truth is, either way is acceptable, niether way is wrong. they are opinions. the one thing nobody seems to understand is that the problems we are in are not due to flawed political ideals from either side. they are due to phycopaths being elected to office.

if you are a republican and an warmongering asshole like mccain has been nominated as your party's candidate, show some balls, drop your party loyalty and vote for the lesser of two evils. ron paul was the first time in a long time that the country realized the need to lose party loyalty. here is a man that got people to register as republican just because he was running.

but if its mccain vs. hillary, fuck voting. they are exactly the smae, my friends.

Unless the voting machines in Texas and Ohio are rigged, I'm thinking Obama has the win.

voting machines are rigged everywhere. we dont even have the illusion of choise anymore.

i got excited about politics for the first time in my life with ron paul and kinky friedman for governer because they are men of the people, and i believe that's the only chance we have to take back this government.

all hope is lost now. government corruption is too widespread now.

Give Obama a chance. What choice do we have, Hillary or McCain, God help us. It is us that must vote to preserve our freedom, Obama is the best choice at present. We must turn the tide on plutochracy and jingoistic fascists.

The word Fascist came into existence with Mussolini.
Its meaning has morphed over the years and is indeed used by both ends of the political spectrum as a term of disparagement.

Unfortunately, and as much as I hate to admit it, I concur with c.c.

With Ron Paul not running as an independent, I have descended into a deep dark well of despair and depression. Indeed it is hopeless. Freedom and Liberty will likely not be restored to the American people in my lifetime.
Where are my rusty razor blades??

Geeze people, that's how I felt when GW was re-elected and look, we've almost survived that, how fucking bad could Obama be? Certainly he couldn't do more harm to the country or the citizens than Bush did, Surely. Buck up, Give him a chance. He may not be all those hateful things you've said about him.

Well med, I wish I could be more optimistic about this nation's future.
Both Obama and McCain represent further restrictions and bigger government with even more bloated inefficient beauracracies, most likely higher tax rates as well.... no chance for a repeal of the profoundly stupid prohibition of ganja.
How is either of these Bozos going to promote freedom and liberty??
Sad and truly hopeless!!!
I may have to begin drinking heavily on a daily basis. Unless I can find my rusty razor blades with which to slit my wrists!!!!

Geeze, who would I have to argue with. I don't tolerate VIs stupid shit anymore, it's only you, 7X, and closet that can maintain some semblance of balance on the opposing side, The rest of the assholes are too brainwashed to argue with. Get a grip. Obama will grow on you. Once you see things like the repeal of the patriot act, maybe you'll buck up.

I guess to those of us who understood Ron Paul never had a chance, the blow is a little less startling. However, I do think maybe you should look into Obama's views a litte more closely. The only people who will pay higher taxes under his plan are the very wealthy, and its only higher in the sense that they will be reverted back to the same amount they were before the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. He actually wants to have no taxes at all for seniors making under $50,000 a year. Obama only wants more government regulation over business, in particular, how they deal with the environment. It has been the belief of previous administrations that a business' sole responsibility is to deliver a profit to shareholders. Obama believes they have a responsibility to the environment as well. As far as ganja, even Ron Paul would not have legalized it. I mean, could not have legalized it. The President does not create laws, only says yes or no to the ones passed by Congress, and its a long time away before Congress attempts to fully legalize marijuana. Obama however does favor lesser penalites for minor drugs. What you will likely see WHEN he is President is a large amount of states following California and Oregon with laws that make anything under an ounce a misdemeanor.

That's right man, we've got to get behind this man. He could actually do some good. I haven't felt this good about a candidate since the Kennedy Brothers. But look what the PTB did to them.

i can't believe you people really think obama won't tax your ass into oblivion. he's said he'll go straight into pakistan to bomb people - WWIII will be expensive. he'll over regulate business and cause massive lay offs which will throw us into a deeper recession. he'll ruin health care, forget tort reform.

hell, Wavels is right, we're fucked no matter who wins. stop pretending that your party is any better than the others.

do you have any reasons for saying he'll tax my ass into oblivion? You're also taking the bombing people in Pakistan terribly out of context. Obama was stating that instead of starting false wars, we could use smart weapons to destroy terrorists. He was talking about using precision bombing to take out Al Qaeda in Pakistan rather than the current tactics of bomb first, find terrorists later. Pushing business towards clean energy practices won't lose jobs, it will create them, especially since a huge potion of oil jobs are already given to engineers over seas. I think the last two you just kind of threw in there. I mean, you've given no basis whatsoever. You sound more like an angry teenager than someone interested in a political debate. If we're fucked anyway, stop talking about it.

I beg your pardon. No one here stands to my right, and I think I can hold my own with you most of the time, medico!

Seriously, this is pretty bleak. We have a traitor running for president. A liberal-who-knows-what running, who cannot take a position on anything. He is the product of a mob-run political machine. Finally a very brave, crazy-man; sometimes liberal, sometimes conservative. What's not to like?

Pass the rusty razor blades please.
