Judaea. Then it became Palestine about 100 years later. However Palestine did exist at the time Jesus was born.

How long have the Jews occupied their land?

The ownership of that land has been changing hands for the last 3500 years. The jews that are there now have occupied it since the end of ww2.

The Palistinians have occupied it much longer than the jews that are currently there.

There will always be a dispute over who really owns that land. IMO there really is no hope for ending that dispute permanently. However stopping the illegal settlements would be a good start.

hadnt lived there for thousands of years, come back, with the permission of the palistine people. who welcomed them back.
