Hey dasmokinbudz - glad you got some pictures.
Your stems still look very stretchy. i'll tell you straight - this ain't good but we'll fix it. The two things I think should work are more and/or closer lighting and a fan blowing on them constantly. Oscillating fans are perfect for this job. I do not use CFLs but my understanding is you need to have them as close as possible without actually touching but a leaf hits a light - not a big deal (don't let a bud do it though!). So add a fan and lots more lights.
OK - that should take care of the stems and start getting you some more nodes and leaves.
On to the set-up...
Is that aluminum foil? It really holds in the heat and is universally condemned as grow room wallpaper. But i also heard that as long as the dull side is facing out (shiny side towards the wall) - it will do in a pinch. But we have bigger problems which i'll get to in a moment.
Glad to see your algae is clearing up - keep up the good work.
It looks like your reservoir is clear - that is not good. Light is what gets algae growing so you don't want it hitting your reservoir - which is a soup of nutrients that algae would really enjoy.
Another words... no clear reservoirs - gotta be opaque. this is very important not just for this reason but even more importantly, your roots should not be getting any light. The roots will fill up that reservoir and the light will be beating down on them. Another bad thing is the light will heat up the reservoir water even faster. OK - i think i convinced you
one good thing about the clear reservoir - is i can see how brown your water is - which means there are WAY too many nutrients in that water. The plants are small and delicate and could easily get by without any nutrients. are you using tap water or RO? if you are using tap water - then use 50% of what the manufacturers feeding schedule. what nutes are you using and do you have a feeding plan?
Do you have a pH and a PPM meter? you'll need them for hydro. it is very difficult to get by without them.
SUMMARY
more lights
move lights closer - try to make the light even around the plant
fan or two blowing on the plants (they should move like in a breeze if they fall over - no way they'll hold a bud up)
opaque reservoir
drain and fill reservoir with plain water immediately
get a pH and PPM meter if you don't have them
what nutes? do you have a plan?
Finally, take a deep breath, relax - it really won't be long before you're giving better growing advice and tips than me. no joke. I'm no expert.
