Being with someone for five years does not make them good at lovin' if you suck at it yourself. It sounds to me like he is simply inexperienced and has never been with someone experienced. Maybe he needs someone he works with on an emotional level to enjoy sex. That is assuming he's been with her for five years because he he didn't feel a want or need to stray. He could be asexual, but everyone who ever told me they were asexual, I turned around and they discovered screwing people with vigor. One girl even called me out of the blue after 2 years to ask if I could err... If she could 'practice on me'. But I suppose she was young and indecisive.
