New grower, need advise badly on this set up i have.

Pretty sure im going to change to a stealth cab or stacked stealth rubbermaid containers, maybe 2 plants with cfls, smaller indica strains, the containers are pretty big.

have you worked out what yeild you would like from this grow
a 300w cfl will give you round 2 oz's
there not half as good as a hps in flower

I havent but id like to find a strain that gives good quality weed, this is mostly for my own smoke. Im thinking of hanging a 200w cfl from the top and place multiple smaller w cfls around the bottom pointed up to hit the bottom side of the canopy. Im just wondering if a 200w cfl will work for both veg and flower modes.

why do you think plants turn ther leaves to the light ..

insted .. get two of them 200W CLF (if you dont want to get a HPS)

get one that is 6500 Kelvin and one that is 2700-3000 Kelvin and make some kind of hood/refletor to fit em boath in ..

and then hang em over your plants .. 4 inches or so from the top of the canopy ..

i right a list and your still going on about the lights to use
i am on here to give advice
but loads of grows have told the same thing

if you have money/heat problems
that's somthing else but you are just keep asking the same questions

if you had high temps and could not reduce them
you could use 2x 200w cfl


but even them
a 250w hps would give you better results

cfl just have not got light cover for the canopy area

Im going to work with 2 rubbermaid containers for a stelath grow on my first try, if you think a 400 hps will work and not cause heat problems with the plastic (i will vent of course) then i will still roll with the 400w hps, so long as you think thats all I will need for 2 plants through veg and flower.

a 400hps does give out a lot of heat in the tent you want to bye
but if you have a good intake of cool air
being pull in throw some ducting and split to 2 smaller ducting
one to blow fresh cool air in the tent and the other to go thow a air cooled hood and out the over side and exit the tent

and a fan and in filter in the tent if you can or out the tent will still work well

this will work well with 2 plants

if you have a very good cool air flow with a powerfull fans or ac
you can even use a 600w

but a 400hps will give u a good yeild
