Brand New Plant Turning Yellow

Both the seedling leaves and the tiny new leaves coming in are yellow. The new leaves coming in are a light green in the middle but they have been like this since a watering about 3 days ago. I don't know if it is from a possible over watering or if it is a soil issue. The soil was .16-.10-.10 and it is being watered every 3 days usually, this time 4. The soil is retaining the water well so thats why long intervals. I will try and get a pic up soon.

same thing is happening to me, i just added nitrogen and took the pots outside to dry and it seems to be doing a little better but i'll let you know when i confirm.

new babies dont like wet soil. let them dry out almost completly befor each watering.. wait till the leaves just start to wilt..

im guessing your saying .16-.10-.10 cuz thats what the bottle says. and inside that bottle, that is true, for every 100 grams of the mixture inside that bottle then theres .16 grams of nitrogen, and .1 of phosphorus and another .1 of potassium. those numbers are a ratio to each other, to 100 grams! otherwise they would read something like 40-30-30. anyways, im guessing your putting a few tablespoons or whatever of this, into a bucket with a ton of water, then pouring it on the plants. which in theory is right. but if thats the case, and the bottle does say .16-.10-.10, then when it reaches the soil, the tiny amount of nutes your putting in, are spreading out more. (now if your not diluting this nutrient, then i dunno whats going on.)


TLDR: feed them more, and buy real nutrients. mine read 8-7-6 or 9-1-2 or 0-15-15, (meaning they are a lot stronger). i also use about 5 different things every time i water, making 1 killer soup of crazy nutes. mixing them at different ratios i came up with, depending on what part of growth they are on.

Watering every 3 or 4 days is normal, i water every 3 in summer, and around 7 or 8 in winter. any less you have drainage problems

and check either link in my signature below, both are good for newer growers. the organics one can save you a lot of money too, and theres nothing better (even if just mentally) that your growing organic.

They are too young to be given nutes yet but what I was talking about the NPK of the soil. I will be transferring them into FoxFarm Ocean but I think it was just the over watering. They are looking much better now that they have dried out all day. I will just extend time periods between watering. Question though, from everyone's experience, do you guys like starting on nutes 2 or 3 weeks into grow?
