That's the new way of doing things for the big ticket items. It's a vast improvement over the "run full speed and fist fight everyone on the way there" from years before. People were getting sent to the hospital and killed before the change. It was also much easier to work at the store with the new changes. I was going to link a video or an article about the black friday deaths but still having probs with rollitup.

It's walmart, they don't give a crap if you want to buy a can of soup, they want you to buy big ticket items. 
The people that came up with the maze like system have never worked in retail before. we watched a video about the new system and they are experts at herding people in large concert like events, they just take into account making a line to the 72" TV's and not if you can get a can of soup without having to go through the maze yourself. I think they should just do away with the damn thing, it's not worth it, trust me.
