I grow in a closet that is in a guest room. May have to do some conversion as I am here in the US =) My closet it basically 4'x2'x8 tall and has an attic above. I use a 400W HPS/HID combo light. It gets hot so you have to use an inline fan and duct hot air into attic. You will also need a carbon filter....I have my filter in the closet ducted to the hood on my light and then ducted out to attic. It still is hot but I can keep it under 85 degrees. The smell should not be a problem but it will get stinky, I also use some air fresheners that are not overpowering but blend out some of the smell. You should be fine there.....The issue you are going to have is getting heat out and the fans you need (inline fan) to do it! They are not quite....I have a spare room but you are going to have fans running and light seeping out unless you seal off the closet. If anyone was to walk into my spare room they would hear the fan, I have had an unexpected guest enter the room and they didn't notice too much, maybe figured it was bathroom fan or something but you need to be aware of the sound issue. For you maybe look into T-5 or LED both run much cooler and you might not need as much or loud of fan but you do need to bring fresh air in and hot/stale air out. LED would not be in budget (expensive) but T-5 or CFL would be. If this is first grow I would start in soil. But of course you may want to get the equipment first then learn to control the environment then add plants. Learn the basics while reading up on here then figure out what works best and how to upgrade and improve. Hope that helps!
