got the go ahead to get one jus not sure which one to get. problly never do more then 4 at a time, and run a 400 convertible HiD. which would you go with? $45 difference jus wondering if 24 would be ok for 3 or four with a 400 or if i need the 36x36, hieght is kinda of a issue but not really as LST and topping/FIM controls alot.
 
I would go with 36 x36. Your light is perfect for that area. Two plants can easily take up a 2x2 space. More space is always better if you have the room will help with heat too
 
Yep, that will work...you going HPS from start to finish? One bulb? You don't have to go out and get the super HPS deluxe spectrum $80 bulbs....is it worth it, yeah if you have the extra cash. But to get going then that is fine. Have you planned all this out yet or just starting now? I ask because when you get that light and tent expect to spend more money on inline exhaust, fans, carbon filters, etc. If $50.00 is going to hurt your pockets on the tent upgrade then you should think about what your doing. Def. not as simple as buying a tent and a light plug it in and grow....well kinda but know there will be lots of nickle and dime stuff too. The thing about growing is it becomes a hobby, a lot of people get into it and realize it is a lot of work and maybe they are not cut out for it and it is easier to just go buy. If you start out and don't set things up properly you may fall into that trap of it not working out. If you get a solid game plan and have success your first go at it you will have a new hobby! in the closet for now first time at it. got a thread on here with it so far, need to update the pics tho jus got 2 WWxBB clones gifted to me, and on a fixed budget. as for the work i got a grasp on the intensity it takes, when i lived in Cali i had a few caretaker friends i would help in their grows, but as was in Cali it wasn't closet more like guest house grows.... no need for a Sea of Green:mrgreen: jus the pleasure of knowing i did it, . well might as well add my new girls to the line-up... check it out.... https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/688839-anoob-first-cfl-grow-bagseed.html... planed on killing it after showing how to germ a seed but it was so healthy i let it live.
 
The color spectrum for that light is 2100k, you need a veg light to be 6500k and flower light at 2700k, you need the correct light spectrum bulbs not just any mh/hps bulb . So that light is not good for growing and that website doesn't sell the type of bulbs you need.
 
this is my thoughts so far.... debating no tent and closing in my closet could probly do it for a 1/3 of the price but that means construction and putting holes in the wall. what size Fan do i need for this size tent <CFM wise> it is 1.3 m3

You have roughly 46 cubic feet, for just filter and air exchange a 4inch 180 cfm inline fan would be appropriate, to air cool your fan and filter/air exchange you want 6 inch 270 cfm inline fan or more. If you are going to go mh in veg and hps in flower, you probably want to spend the extra $30 and get a decent digital ballast as opposed to the magnetic ballast your looking at.
 
ok ....man get the tent .................the first grow u have more then 2 oz of something decent has paided for the set up ............do not low ball yourself and half ass it .....u gone this far finish it right the joy of own nugs and no more stress of worring about driving and all that .........buy it when u break even and want better u can keep this one as a drying tent or a veggie tent for mothers and clones
 
hell no go soil auto plants ..............u have to be a complete idoit not to get something from a auto plant even if u do mess up u learn

plus u can get auto females as long as u do not stress them u have 95% chance of getting a female that will be budded and done with in 70 to 80 days of planting the seed at the most

so turn around for profit and saving is short with in 3 months u could be making your own and saving from 200 to 400 a month just not buying anything then u got your buddies that will smell yours and want u to sell them something

(my ppl they gave me 200 bucks when i was starting it up they are price locked at 300 bucks or lower a oz they will never pay anymore then that with me i charge them 3 times the cost of making the plant ......seed /soil/nutrients/power.........comes out to be about 70 bucks a plant on my last run......... this run little more since i used ffof for soil )

Yeah I would say soil first. the reason I asked cause in his list of supplies was Hanna pH Kit for Hydroponics
 
it is to PH the water and test it............after like the 5th time doing it he will stop and figure out the little microsbos in the ground do most the work just need it for flushing or fixing messed up ph
 
my first plant is soil, rich black nature made kind have been able to make it thru the grow so far with jus transplants. the new soil has enough to get it thru, starting to feed it tho in prep for blooming. the 2 clones are in ProMix dont know if its possible to trans over to soil with it was jus gonna do these but kinda wanted to try DWC on my next run.
