if youre ever bored or really high do some forklift bowling.. we had a badass ASU skid loader, set up some 4x4's out there and put a 55 gallon drum on the forks and lift it.. get some speed up and hit the brakes and let the 55 gallon drum roll into all the 4x4's.. forklift bowling is harder then it sounds

In my youth I had occassion to use a forklift to move pallets of 100lg mail bags. I worked for a junk mailcompany. One day being slightly buzzed I drove the forks right through the loading dock door and dam near went off the dock lift and all. Needless tosay I was no longer permited to use the forklift.

Meh, after I knocked a trailer off it's stands trying to grab a pallet of used motor oil containers from the unsecured top rack, I spilled 40 gallons of oil. Boss told me to hose it to the drain and throw down some floor dry. Then he told me to stop reorganizing the shop...

Boss lady loved to drive the fork lift. Here was her class (I know, I was the instructor. She got an A, but that's cuz she "stayed after class...)

"Don't hit shit. That one raises the forks, that one pitches the forks, that one laterally moves the forks, but don't use it, it's busted."

Thought she was going for the lift the night I quit, I coulda swore I saw her eyeballing the fork, and my boss's head.

I can do wheelies on a forklift.

Seriously, when I worked on the docks I saw guys push trailers away from the dock twice. Once the lift hit the ground. Guy jumped before he went with it. Landing gear, wheel chalks, anything can (and does) happen. Guys stabbing hazmat with the long forks....

Forks through the dump bed. What fuckin' retard tries to scrape the dump bed, up, with a forklift? We've got a skid -- parked NEXT TO THE FUCKIN DUMP TRUCK. Yeah, that would have been my "lateral colleague." The "Crew Supervisor." Fuckin' ex-tweeker drunk.

One guy busted through an asphalt sealant bulk tank, double forked it, with a pallet of sand on the bitch. How? By staring straight at the tank, and running right into it.

Moving the sand pallets I used to ride front wheelies. Get 2 sand pallets more than 9" off the ground, and you are tipping forward. (Did the same with a bucked of sludge, over the winter, lifted to dump the saltwater slushy over a barrier, and hit forward a redheaded pube too close to pivot, caught myself with the bucket though!

Heavy machinery is the shit. Boss used to make me leave the skid windows open between jobs, otherwise his truck would smell like weed when we pulled 'em both in to wash them after shift.

I almost back flipped the skid off the loading ramps, on purpose. Got it teetering, hit the horn and yelled "Hey boss, still give me a hundred bucks and suck my dick if I can flip it backwards?"

I ran forklifts for years. Shit's hard on your back. I could pick a coin off the floor. Easy if you know the trick to it. I saw a guy run a bale spear straight through the bed of a pickup truck one time. haha. I also saw a guy put a fork right through a structural I beam in a factory I worked at. He went to the hospital with broken ribs.

now that looks like some shit a place I used to work at would try and make you do.
I used to work for a grocery chain and the owner was a penny pincher. The only reason one store got a forklift was the grocery warehouse made him get one or they'd stop delivering because there was no loading dock and we were slowing up the driver unloading by hand. It was a POS 70's model Clark that was worn smooth out. Leaking head gaskets, leaky hydraulics, leaky everything and absolutely no brakes at all. You can kinda live with the no brakes thing if you move slow, use reverse and drop your forks when loaded. But our 20x50 storeroom had a split level floor. It dropped 3 feet over a 5 foot distance about 10 feet inside the building. When you went down it loaded it was wild ride if you weren't real careful. We dumped 100's of pallets going down that fracking slope. They never did fix the brakes on that forklift either. It finally just died and got replaced by a slightly less crappy fork that had brakes.
