Are AN primarily for hydroponically grown meds or just as well for soil? For soil would powder be better than liquid? And for those that use AN already what are the core nutes to buy for healthy plants and increase yeild?

Most nurseries sell plain topsoil, sometimes in bulk or you could ask them what soil mixture they use because chances are they dont use time release MG or something. If absolutely necessary you could use MG organics. Ive heard that it work ok in a pinch. Good Luck

Fox Farm Ocean Forest or Roots soil would be the best for growing. Both are organic

And I wouldnt call a cfl grow a waste of time. Your node sets would be closer together for short bushy plants and the lights dont get as hot so you can keep them close to your plants. However, HID lighting would be the best for yield.

My 400 watt MH/HPS conversion system cost me 170 for 2 hood hangars, 1 MH bulb, 1 HPS bulb, the hood, ballast, and a timer. I know they make 250 watt HPS as well but I dont know how much they cost. No, they dont sell them at Home Depot or Lowes. You would have to get it from a local hydro...

Yes you can replant. It will shock the plant but youll transplant at least once more before your done. The other thing is that each plant needs its own container. The roots will get all bound up if you leave them like they are now. Handle those sprouts too much though and they are liable to die

Yeah the plant is stretched. All of your growth is at the top. Looks ok though. Your CFLs need to be 6500K light spectrum for vegetative growth. The light only needs to be about 1 inch or so from your plants for tighter node spacing. 26 watt daylight bulbs will work
