  • yo V,
i finished the box, i added pics to the grow journal i had going. the llink is in my sig if you aren't still subscribed to it. i think it turned out real well. lemme know what you think..thoughts criticisims, lay em on me.

    peace bro
Hey, thanks for the rep thing---sh*t you deserve a bucket of them! though I can't find the dang button for it!! thanks for all your help/insight---freakin Internet!
I'm pretty sure it would be the same thing. Check that it's good for horticultural use and you should be good to go if it's 2mm.
Sounds like you got it all in hand. Keep us posted.
Might be worth using 2mm polycarbonate sheeting instead of glass tho. CFL's kick out a little UV which is really beneficial and the polycarb will let it through but glass will block it.
All is good here bud. Same back.
sweet, ive got a normal porcalyn socket and an adaptor that takes a mogul base, with the 125 w bulb its off center in the case and a little long. so i went to home depot and got a 100 w daylight bulb that is shorter. i'll take pics of everything and put them in the journal i had going. the refloctor is a good idea but i'm gunna line the inside with mylar so i don't think its to necessary. i'm also thinking of mounting a pane of glass beneath the bulb to work like a heat shield, but that won't be for a week, unless i get real high and motivated this weekend lol.
peace bro hope all is well.
    Hey Crazytrain
Grats again on a great 1st grow m8. A 125w will make it even better for sure :)
I just glued a reflector with a fitted bulb socket to the top of my case. The envirolites use an e40 socket just like MH/HPS bulbs, so I got a normal hps reflector and cut the wings down a little so it would fit widthways.
The top fan is a cute idea and should work wonders for temps, but it might be tough to do it with a reflector, especially if it's fitted permanently like mine.
I guess if I was to do it I would locate the top fan hole near the other exhaust fans and above the ballast of the bulb. That shouldn't affect the current airflow but it would eliminate the main source of heat. I'd just need to cut away the reflector from that area so it fitted inside the case and lightproof with carbon foam.
I've seen some cheap reflectors with a kind of vent in the top that could work too. I'll try and find a pic.

hows it going man, my grow in the pc case ended up pretty good. anyways ive cut a hole int he top of my case and added a large exhaust fan and bought a 125 w cfl. i think you siad thats what you have in yours. how do you have it mounted?
    thanks
    peace
Hey, for some reason I cannot send you a private message so I am posting here. I am thinking about throwing a pc together and had a few ideas to throw by you since I seen you on alot of the pc grows =P

first problem I need to tackle is how to keep the light in the box and not shining through the fans. Is there something I could put over them? A type of material? Im running 2 intake and for an outtake mine is pretty cool =P I gutted my power supply, so it is 2 12v fans pushing through a small chamber on the top. Eventually this compartment will be a air filter as well. So yeah.. my only problem really is how to keep the light from shining through :(
hey your not in the states right? cuz i was thinkin of sending you some of the Blueberryxak47 beans because i have plenty, more than i can use. i dont want them to go bad, and cause i see you have growing skills id be glad to see what you can do with my strain. ill give u like 30 cause i have hundreds.

ive sent seeds inside the states before with no probs, but im not sure how safe it would be sending over seas tho.

if u want to do it and we can be sure it would be legit, im down. just let me know what you think.
I keep an eye on all you guys :)
It all looked cool so I kept quiet. I'll drop by and say hello.
Put the kettle on and stoke me a bowl :)
    yo v12

how ya been dude. my grow is getting close and just gunna let ya know since i haven't heard from ya in a few. could you take a look and see what ya think?

    peace man
Hey m8. Thanks for that. Much appreciated.
Lowryders are completely resistant to hermie traits, that's why you can give them any light regime without a problem. They also resond well to LST.
I use free draining soil with lots of perlite / vermiculite and sphagnum moss. This prevents any overwatering as the excess just runs out the bottom.
Another trick is to plant up the seedling in new soil and give a little water just to bed it in. Now check how heavy it is and then give it a proper watering. Any time the pot feels like it did after you checked the weight it's time to water again. Stick to 1/2 strength nutes with that strain. I ruined a few by overfeeding.
Hope that helps. Good luck with the grow.
hey buddy, i just wanna say thanks for being so active in the stealth growing threads. It seems to me that you are the go to man in the stealth department haha. Anyway, I'm preparing for a Pc grow with 2 feminzed lowryder seeds. do you think that if i did LST it could over stress them into hermies? also im sorry for asking a rather noobish question but could you give me watering advice for this strain? any help is always much appreciated!
You should be ok with either method but I would recommend starting with 12/12 to get some experience under your belt.
12/12 will keep things manageable. It will also show you the earliest time the plant can begin to flower and how much it will grow after it switches to flowering. You'll need this info to be able to call the best veg period on other grows.
Hey v12 I got my gear sorted out and im just waiting on my seeds, i just wanted to know.. if i use the scrog method in my pc case.. does that mean i can veg it for a while with the screen holding it back? or do you think i should just do straight 12/12? thx
