Well I bought the usual local Brouwerij 't IJ (windmill) IPA. And a new one i saw which is Belgian.

In Dutch, Kerel means "Dude" basically. This probably comes from part of Belgium where they speak Flemish which is the same as Dutch. Maybe try it tomorrow.....drank the usual tonight. Slainte mhath!

Absolutely, I've had the 10 and 12 year bottles. They use to run some really good deals on Glenmorangie back in the UK, but I doubt that now, I think the Government brought in a minimal price per unit law
It's still the best priced single malt in the states., but I still favor the Balvenie Double Wood 12 year and it's reasonably priced.

I got a 12 year Balvenie for a wedding present but it got drunk many years ago now. Good stuff. And for sure, the Glenmorangie always seem to be well priced. Probably the capacity they put out.

So like your boys both fit in the front basket? Your biceps must be poppin.
you need big biceps to wear a kilt :)

And yes, and the eldest is now 30+ kilos. If we have the roof on he doesn't fit in so has to lie on the floor of the box... or bak as its called. He's an 8 year old wearing 11year old clothes who looks like he might be hittingpuberty before he's even lost his sticky up baby nose..gonna be a typical Dutch string bean! I'll soon be looking up to.him haha.

We went for a weekend to a place called Duinrell, which is an amusement park in the middle of the Duin nature reserve. Not really a roller coaster type of person but my boys loved it, and if they are laughing, I am laughing. And now in NL we are back in with Corona restrictions again ffs zzzzzzz.

I love roller coasters ! Sounds like so much fun. Sorry to hear about the Corona shit. Hopefully this will be the last of it. I go for my third shot next week. Luckily I am staying outdoors all winter. We got hot real hard in the summer but no lockdown just a lot of sick a s dead people who didn’t want the shot so paid up. A6629DDE-D295-4F9C-B7F6-51A590A0FD84.jpegso we should be ok for a while a while but who knows . You just gotta roll with it. Batters up!
Who’s next? Catfish Hunter? Bucky Dent? Reggie Jackson?

does that say Bougar? lol
our ICUs are nearly full and 80% of the occupants are people who have not had a vaccine. The Worlds so fucked up people don't believe nobody about anything anymore. It seems Melvin the Meme Maker is more trusted than scientists and learned experts in their fields these days...I shudder to think what our kids have go to look forward to.

Watched some interesting films of late. Really liked Finch, such a harrowing but nice film.
Really really enjoyed Old Henry as well.

have a great week

They say that you are not vaccinated if you come down with the virus within 2 weeks of having you first shot, which amounts to a large number of those hospitalized. The ICU's in this area are approx.60% of capacity and the bulk of those patients are not from the virus.
Don't believe anything in the news.
Look how things went in Sweden, with the virus.

I live in an area in my state that constitutes the “conservatives“ and our hospital is only 1 of 5 in the state with capacity issues, the other 4 are in “conservative” counties also. I don’t need the news to see the writing on the wall, antivaxers are the reason we can’t get past this.

our vaccine uptake has slowed dramatically here so having the virus within 2 weeks of getting the shot is not applicable...We have been over 80% uptake since the summer.

yes people are dying who have had the vaccination, but these are people with extreme complications and underlying issues. I don't believe everything in the news for sure, but this is fairly black and white.

I still don't understand the rhetoric regarding lockdown and control of peoples lives. Governments get no advantage in this, its there to curb the spread, simple. A lot of it is not logical I agree, but applying macro solutions is always a hard thing especially when people think on an individual micro level.

I do believe if everyone had the vaccine this would certainly reduce the strain on the health systems and enable us to live with this as an endemic....which is what its now being looked at.

It is unfortunate that a lot of people seem to have benefitted from this, but that's always happening....

In The Netherlands when you reach group 5 at school all the kids make a "Surprise" (pronounced Surpreez) for another kid in the class (drawn randomly). Each child writes down what they like and the sort of present they would like (e.g a pot of slime:)). And the one that chooses them makes their Surprise and writes a little poem. My boy got a girl who like gymnastics, and luckily enough wants a pot of slime lmfao. He's just 8 and I am actually surpreezed haha, how nice his writing is....because he's normally a messy wee shite haha.
