Hey so I'm doin my first grow in my closet and wanted to check out other closet growers setups. Just seein how u guys are ventilating and keepin the heat down. So help a newb out and post some sweet pics of your closet!! I just got done fabbing my closet this weekend...I've got the flowering...

So over this weekend I worked on the closet a little....I took out everything, brought the high closet shelf down and relocated it to about 3 1/2' , mounted the reptile cfl fixture to the bottom of the shelf, brought in an old piece of furniture and put aluminum foil inside for relection...and...

Thanks....the only thing is the closet is gettin on the hot side when the doors are shut....around 91-92 F, with the doors open its 85-87F....even in the flowering stage 3 plants wont stink that bad??

I'm growin shwag seeds in the closet (3 plants)first grow, when do they usually start stinkin and how stinky will 3 plants be?? Is it gonna stink up my whole house or just the closet, or my whole room that the closet is in?? I've got two fans in there for heat control but no real venilation...

i guess thats why nobody responded with what the problem could be....cause there are too many to narrow it down to OKTHIS IS YOUR PROBLEM THIS IS HOW YOU FIX IT....

Gotta 2 1/2 weeker under one 42 watt cfl....small yellow/brownish marks on it....bugs? Burning? What's it look like to u? Mg organic, in the closet w a small fan...Am I being concerned over nothing?Z

So I was bummed to find out the reptile cfl light fixture only holds 3 x 26 watt cfl's....My question is, how dangerous is it to put more wattage than specified? and if it is DEFINATLEY not recomended is there a way to customize the fixture so it can support more wattage? Thanks, Z

So I was mistaken...I didn't have 4 x 40 watt cfls, I had 4 x 9 watt cfl's, stupid mistake on my part. Went to the store today for better lights...the delema I have is that the reptile fixture that I'm using has a max of 3 x 26 watts...so I'm forced to get those for now and a true 40 watt cfl on...

well, I was just taking a closer look at the fixture and it says max 26 watts x 3...so thats 78 watts on top and I can put max 60 watt in the desk lamp fixtue, will this be enough? 130 watts for 4 plants????

So I made a newb mistake yesterday when I bought my cfl lights...i thought they were 40 watt...today reading some info on lighting I came accross the info on how the packages say "40 watt" but thats the equivalent of 9 watts....so ya, I went and dug out the packaging from the trash, sure enough...

Ya, I think the plants stem is just too skinny, it grows out and taller everyday it seems like, but the main stem is pretty thin and not looking like its getting phatter!! In a week it will be 3 wks old, hopefully the stem will phatten out....about the lights, I dont know what im gonna do...is...

I'm stoked to hear that actually...makes sense....first time grower with dank seeds might waste a lot of money...those seeds aren't cheap...so i think i'll hit up walmart for some new lights 2morrow....will that reptile light work for the flowering stage? Should I even waste time making clones...
